OH MAN! ... LMFAO!!!. I finally saw the japanese intro, i love how awsome the intro is but what really makes me laugh is like, Cable keeps poping into the intro just shooting his guns and hes in the entire series for like maybe 2 or 3 episodes.
Ok the 90's cartoon was sweet at the time but has lost some flavor. I re-watched them a year ago and it just wasn't as good. Also I'm so glad I just saw that Japanese intro. It made my day. I'm just wondering how Magneto summoned a bunch of monsters. That part is kind of confusing. Also the Spider-Man cartoon is excellent. Has anyone watched that recently? Is it still good?

The 90's Spider-Man is horrible. Even as a kid I thought it looked worse than X-Men which I think still looks pretty good. Plus Parker's look always confused the fuck outta me. He looks like a linebacker with poofy little boy hair.
I had really high hopes for MTV Spider-Man. If they would have stuck with it being a animated Ultimate Spider-Man it would have been awesome but nooo the movies had to come along. MTV Spidey was animated very well. He swung and moved just like comic Spider-Man and the way they used his eyes I think is a great idea for when Spidey is animated. Too bad the stories sucked ass.
This new Spectacular Spider-Man has the right idea but his face looks like a cheap Chinese toy rip off. Just steal Bagley's 90's art and make it move and call it a day.

The best part of the 90's X-Men and Spider-Man cartoons was spotting all the reused animation sequences... until Spider-Man started to reuse long sequences in EVERY EPISODE.
I bet you could make it into a pretty fun drinking game, though.

Spider-man was actually good though.
Especially when the X-Men showed up.
And Pete was all "*Science*"
And Beast was all "Oh snap, I forgot you're smart."
I loved the X-Men series as a kid. But I'm afraid that it made me biased against Jubilee for all of time. Unless she's also whiny in the comics and has no real powers except to illuminate the room with pretty colors. Why did Wolverine look out after Jubillee? Why didn't he just cut her head off after one of her complaining fits? The mind reels.

Jubes has got a lot more interesting since she got depowered.
Edit: Jubilee was an Iceman-style character. She had the ability to detonate matter at a molecular level or somesuch, which basically means she could blow up anything just by looking at it. But she was mentally blocking herself out of fear of that much power.
Obviously, now she doesn't need to worry about that.
And she's recently joined the New New Warriors, which is made up apparently entirely of depowered mutants using tech-based powers. Now she's going by Wondra and has superstrength.
I absolutely loved the 90's X-Men. It is the pinnacle of Marvel animation. They just nailed every single character, Wolverine was actually short! Hell I even remember they did a pretty good version of the Dark Phoenix Saga.
If only Disney would release a DVD box set I would be all over it.
ok i know it wasn't a cartoon but who saw the generation x movie fox did? it had skin and jubilee
And Emma Frost, and Banshee, if i remember correctly. I think i still have that taped from tv around here somewhere, along with that Project ALF movie they showed the same night.

That looked amazingly 80s.
Like, distilled 80s action cartoon.
And I've always had suspicions that Jubilee's dad only sent her away because of what she did to the VCR.

Did we ever find out what was in those pouches?
Candy and other assorted treats.

Lets be honest though, that was Sabertooths costume for a long time, until marvel wised up.
i dug the original series, though. it doesn't have the lasting power that actually good cartoons like batman:tas has, but as a kid it rocked.
edit: in pryde of the x-men, i loved wolvie's aussie voice.
Ok, so how were the sentinals supposed to be menacing when one can't even catch a dog?
Well, see, it wasn't a MUTANT dog.

I watched a little on youtube.
They fucked up Thanos in every way possible.
This is not acceptable.

I swear Wolverine's was the exact same.
Spiral?? Did i just see Tusk? I declare that intro full of empty promises.
The movie basically gave Rogue her role.

I haven't read an X Men comic in like ten years, give or take.

But for my pre-teen self, that was enough to deserve lots of replays on the VHS. >.>
