Broar - why is there such a difference in the level of service from the people at evert u level in a real luxury hotel, since everyone gets paid the same at al hotels due to the union rules? Why do people seek out jobs that require so much more work and knowledge for the same pay? Is it the tips?
The realization that it took me way too long to come up with an outfit for my guy for your Star Wars game has struck me. Particularly since I'm playing a clothes horse. So I may or may not be planning additional outfits so that it never takes that long again, and outfits are never repeated.
That's ok we've still never established if my robot even has hands
i have started picturing you as the walking trashbin robot from the Jawa sand crawler.
In my head it's usually either a cross between IG-88 and HK-47 or like a leaner this:
My favorite 2-player board/card game is The Duke, by a rather large margin. It's similar to chess, but with tiles instead of pieces, you don't start with all the pieces (you draw them randomly from a bag), and each piece has two movesets, which you switch between every time you move it. It's a smaller board, but still a lot of room to maneuver, and the learning curve is way better than the one for chess. I highly recommend it.
My second favorite is Lost Cities (the 2-player card game, NOT the 4-player board game). Basically you have cards with numbers 2-10, in 5 different colors, plus 3 "investment cards" in each color. You're trying to build a collection of these cards on your board, but if you have any cards of a given color on your board, it starts at -20 points, so you have to be sure you'll be able to exceed that amount. Investment cards are score multipliers, but they'll also multiply your negative score if you're not careful. The other great thing about it is that you have play first, THEN draw. That simple little reversal of the typical card game draw mechanic makes a huge difference in how you play.
Netrunner is super fun, but it's an LCG, so that may not be what you're looking for. Most of my other favorite 2-player games are actually just games that can be played with 2-4 players. Those would include games like Ascension and Innovation.

I struggle with figuring out how disconcerting it should be, because at its core it's pretty much a racist sociopath
But I am real bad at presenting it that way and it's beneficial to be liked so

I would propose that as a droid, arms are something that can be added or removed upon a whim. It's a bit droidest to imply that droids must follow the same limits that biology applies to meatbags.
It doesn't come up, but that's actually baked into the character.
It constantly upgrades and its current chassis in no way resembles the original.
Jeez needs some way to have floating appendages. Screw arms, you've got little bits that can detach and hover.
I actually should think about random droid things that might be useful that are awesome like that
Some sort of sphere with a needle bit. Because that would scare the shit out of some poor bastard who is tied to the chair and has it coming at his eye.....

I considered that too, but that is harder to hold a blaster as :P
But again, with the constant upgrading, and presumably chassises (chasses?) being cheap, it wouldn't be much to change.

I really want to give up pixel art forever right now.
I just can't deal with how awful my work is to my own eyes right now...
How do artists deal with that?

Everyone who tries to do something creative has to suffer through a period of mismatch between knowledge and ability. Ira Glass sums it up really well:
Nobody tells this to people who are beginners, I wish someone told me. All of us who do creative work, we get into it because we have good taste. But there is this gap. For the first couple years you make stuff, it’s just not that good. It’s trying to be good, it has potential, but it’s not. But your taste, the thing that got you into the game, is still killer. And your taste is why your work disappoints you. A lot of people never get past this phase, they quit. Most people I know who do interesting, creative work went through years of this. We know our work doesn’t have this special thing that we want it to have. We all go through this. And if you are just starting out or you are still in this phase, you gotta know its normal and the most important thing you can do is do a lot of work. Put yourself on a deadline so that every week you will finish one story. It is only by going through a volume of work that you will close that gap, and your work will be as good as your ambitions. And I took longer to figure out how to do this than anyone I’ve ever met. It’s gonna take awhile. It’s normal to take awhile. You’ve just gotta fight your way through.

So I decided to get a sandwich from the local store's deli for dinner, and I asked for bell peppers but they fucked up and used pepperoncinis instead, which I am allergic to. I think I'm just going to stop getting bell peppers on my sandwiches.
No major health concerns, not an extreme reaction, just my lymph nodes swell up and I need to stop eating and take an antihistamine. But I really don't want to risk it happening again.
is it really the same? i wouldn't be surprised to learn janitors and room cleaners get paid the same at most levels, but i'd be surprised if say the front desk host or concierge at a 1,000/night hotel is paid the same as a 40 room family hotel

It's sad but I find it kind of sweetly sad instead of bleak.
It's more effective because it's so well balanced. It's not just misery porn.

edit: whoops wrong link finding it
This game has both teams using dedicated goalies and come onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
If it makes you feel any better, I watched you go from absolutely crap to really solid in such a short time it embarrassed the heck out of me.
Like, in the time it took you to go from not doing it at all to making a really nice little Jim Darkmagic I did not acquire any new skills.
