It took me most of the beta, but I finally found a loadout that really works for me. Sheiva for the mid and long range and knife for short range (yeah, I'm one of those assholes). The only real weakness is short-to-mid range. If someone sees me and there's nothing I can dance around, I'm probably dead. I've been trying to fill that gap with the tomahawk, but I'm not super reliable with it.

In past COD its always took me around 150 throws to really sight in my aim for close to mid. If there is a sticks and stones playlist I would recommend going in there and playing to help get your aim for the new movement system.
Well, that was a fun lobby. I joined a Safeguard game just as the first round ended. Someone on my team started the 2nd round with RAPS and a wraith, which are both things that are extremely rare on PC. I thought "Well, this guy's max level. Maybe he's just really good." I proceeded to escort the robot about 3/4 of the way to the objective with basically no resistance when he and his two buddies started yelling at me because they wanted to farm kills. I ignored them and finished escorting the robot. With the next match, I was on the other team and they, unsurprisingly, started dominating us. Then the guy called in RAPS again along with a GI Unit. I decided to check out a kill cam on a triple kill and watched his aim jump with perfect precision from one person to the next. That explained that. I hacked his RAPS (which, amusingly, killed the GI Unit) and left.
I haven't seen blatant cheating like that in so long, I kind of forgot to look out for it.
EDIT: Oh. And they voted for the map that was just played, which is really their biggest sin.
RAPS seems pretty bad for being as hard to get as it is. The rollers explode really easily and they don't even kill you through flak jacket which I equipped on every one of my classes immediately then never took it off because all the perks in the game seem really weak
My friend is working on a roguelike game you can play if you want to. (It has free demo)
I tried tracker and it seemed like a perk that, I dunno, deaf people might use?
Unless they're using Hardwired it's a pretty sizable trail. It's also a good counter for Dead Silence, assuming they're not fully loaded on stealth perks.

It's also really, really easy to shoot down the carrier. I'm not sure if it even has flares. On the killstreak note, the G.I. Unit seems a little subpar for the price too. Picked up a few but they never really seemed to do much other than intercept fire.

I mostly use the perks that let me run around the map like a maniac with little penalty as I always do.
Also why did so many people use Hoodie girl? She seems like the weakest specialist overall.

Probably since she's one of the three default specialists. Also didn't quite get Rejack's popularity, it practically lights you up in neon when you use it and takes a long time to kick in. Might be useful if people aren't paying attention but I'd take Glitch or Psychosis over it any day.
I found the specialist abilities to be inferior to the weapons. The abilities might save you, but the weapons actively make getting points easier. Mind you, as I type this, I realized I mostly play TDM and the abilities would probably be way more useful in certain objective modes.

seems like most of the OG xbox wrecking crew are picking it up for PS4 this time. I played it on every system during the beta and it seemed to have the best experience for me.
It sounds like I might not be such a lonely (PS4) CoDBros shooting mans this time!
I saw that the most recent PS4 update added some kind of "Communities" features: does anybody know anything about that (i.e. if the PSN CoDBros from this thread signed up there would it be easier to party up and shoot mans)? Or am I hoping for far too much?

I'll be playing on PS4. I ended up pre-ordering after the multiplayer beta weekend.
Turns out I get really irritable when I don't play something like CoD online, as a (relatively) healthy outlet for pent-up anger and frustration. So the wife now readily endorses jumping back in and shooting lots of mans.
Anyone know if this one will have customizable logos? Getting my troll on while shooting mans was surprisingly relaxing when that was possible.
Yeah, customized emblems are back in. 64 layers this time around, I think?

Excellent. Last time I recreated the Obama campaign logo, but threw on 2016 at the bottom. Occasionally with a rainbow and/or gun control imagery. The tears and impotent rage were delicious.
Time-to-hack has been adjusted upwards across the board to make it more challenging to hack, especially at the higher end of rewards. Hackers now also appear as a red dot on the minimap for the duration of the hack, which, along with VO notifications that a Scorestreak is being hacked...
Our improved networking code would sometimes cause bullet flinch to stack, so we put a cap on how much you can flinch while ADS. While you will still flinch when shot, it will be within tighter constraints to keep you closer to your aim.
...along with VO notifications that a Scorestreak is being hacked...
Voice Over notifications telling me that the enemy team is hacking my streak? This totally solves all the problems inherent with the Black Hat!</sarcasm>
Well, the person appearing on radar while they hack is a good idea to me - it makes it more of a risk, especially if you're a player that likes to stay off the grid.

That's why they made the time to hack longer and proximity based too.
I'll buy it, but I'm really annoyed all this jump suit business is now in this franchise. The option to play without it online doesn't have as many players...

Get warnings when enemies are close and see footsteps.
But I have ears. And it was way worse at indicating where enemies were than the, admittedly bad, audio treyarch is known for.

Chalk it up to coolnees factor, ease of us, and ease of access.
Once people started to level up, nomad with rejack and reaper with scythe became popular.
Battery with the war machine is very popular in objective games, and for good reason.
Such a fun ability.

Campers everywhere
They just turned it into a stealth game. Suppression always and turn off run. Always crouch.
