Anyone listened to the new Britney Spears album? It's pretty catchy and surprisingly well-produced.
are you serious? cause I almost took the bate... not that I've heard it... but then I realized this was probably just an attempt to change the subject(s).
Just putting my toe in the water here to see if anyone would get uptight about liking pop music.
Success!
there are a lot of people here fine with pop music . personally I'm more interested if she can release something good and be on the first step to no longer just being a joke, getting herself off the news and back to an actual life. I hate this shit, and I don't blame her for it or anything, but it'd be awesome if she could get out of it. like.. people seem to not care that it's a human being. that's where I was going with the conversation.
Yeah I can appreciate that point of view, I pretty much share it. It's just a surprise to find this album actually is pretty good when it came out of such dire surroundings. She doesn't really seem to be promoting it though so I'm not sure it will really help turn her life around, except for selling well and keeping her pocketbooks lined.

Oh. Well, I think I am, which is why I'm starting early.
My New Year's resolution: I will become a relentless, hard-line Machiavellianist.
oh. interesting.
Yeah. I've always admired people that are cutthroats. Of course, the admiration is always followed by the thought, "I could never be like that," but I'm going to try, dammit!
On a related note, I hate everything I've seen from Disney except Gargoyles. I love the character Xanatos.
I like some pop-punk. That's pretty much pop-music.
Such as?
(Me curious.)
Riverdales, a couple of the earlier Blink 182 songs (but not really down with any of the whole-albums), Ramones were basically pop-punk, Green Day is largely fun. I have trouble with The Donnas, on the one hand, I do like the general sound, but on the other hand the lyrics tend to tell stories of women being huge dicks to eachother for no apparent reason, which is off-putting.
Edit: Also the garage-pop-punk bands I've gotten drunk with/lived with. Some of those guys were actually really fucking good.

Ever listened to Reggie and the Full Effect or the Getup Kids? Two of my favorites. For some reason I get bored with the Ramones real fast, but I can still appreciate them I suppose.

My score on this test was 54. I answered each question in complete honesty.
By the end of 2008, I want to be able to take that test with equal honesty and score at least a ninety.

The key to being a successful Machiavellian in life is pretending you're not.
The funny thing is, Hacksaw will still be alive four years from now.
I'm not sure how this is funny. Does my continued existence only get funnier the longer I live?
It's funny because that picture was posted in response to you resolving to shoot yourself in the face and, unless I'm mistaken, Bush declared "mission accomplished" in Iraq some time in 2003.

Hacksaw, every time I read a post of yours I hear it in my head as if Mal Reynolds was saying it. It's interesting effect sometimes.
you know, I thought the same thing?
weird
I bet caning with flaming shafts of bamboo would rank high on the kinkometer.

What about Gummi Bears?
Gruffy was pretty badass.

I dressed as her for halloween once :P
Fuck you. Disney has made some damn fine movies and some damn fine music.
To be fair to Disney, I've only seen, I think, three of their movies.

The Vandals :^:
This is the worst tragedy your life holds.
Did they really think that Stephen Colbert would win their primary?
Even pop-punk rockers have to be able to hold their liquor. Besides, she has the same problem as the Donnas. But more emoish.
just to take her down a few...
That's strange. Which three?
Note: I'm not saying everyone has to see every Disney movie ever, but it's become so culturally prevalent that it's kinda surprising.
And if I remember correctly, his life holds a lot of tragedies.
