So she can't hack Bastion's complete character because of his GUARDIAN BIRD spirit animal?
watching that origin story short
there seems to be some sort of... god AI behind some of the things happening, so far behind the scenes only people like sombra even get deep enough to merit notice.
We don't know where Bastion stands, but seeing as at least Reinhard is in some way connected to it (his power armor?), maybe Bastion is, too?
There already are 'god programs' in the Overwatch lore. Pharah's mini-comic thing discussed them, although the only one they mentioned basically just hijacked omnics en masse.
streamer said that if Sombra hacks lucio, he keeps whatever aura is going, but he can't switch.
I'm guessing it's a similar deal with Bastion. He simply can't change modes, so if he was already in turret mode he'll just stay that way.
Even though her teleport sounds similar to Reaper's in theory, in gameplay it clearly works a lot differently. It gives her a ton of mobility
A trap is for fish: when you've got the fish, you can forget the trap. A snare is for rabbits: when you've got the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words are for meaning: when you've got the meaning, you can forget the words.
Oh damn. That throwing range on Translocator. That changes it from a passive exfiltration tool to an active one, allowing her to chuck it through a window mid-fight and get out.
Her ability to lock down health packs is interesting. I wonder if she'll be the rare character who is good at chasing a retreating Reaper.
...oh man, Reapers are going to hate Sombra. Hacked status can not only shut down his Death Blossom after he starts it (and EMP can shut him down without the need to locate him and aim, unlike sleep dart), but it would also shut down his ability to escape a failed engagement with Wraith Form.

What an adorable skull-people family descended from that pyramid thingy.
I wonder if Rein's shield counts as an ability or an alt-fire (or if the two sorts of things are even treated as different) to Hack status. If Rein can still raise his shield while Hacked, then smart Reins could drop their shields when an EMP is about to to off, so they don't lose all their shield health.

At this point I'm honestly not sure who's gonna be like "Oh, Sombra. No big, I got this."
Sombra detects critically injured enemies through walls.
Wait, WHAT
Duh, that totally explains in the gameplay video at 50 seconds, why she could see 76. I thought it looked weird, not quite like a Hanzo or Widow sight but didn't think it over too much.

On the other hand, Sombra has to get in range to deal damage, and if she gets in range of Reaper he's got more damage and more health, he'll wipe the floor with her and not need abilities to do it.

Ult is LOS
There is no casting time
Range seems about as big as Mei's ult
Ult kills all shields and barriers
Goes through shields and kills Zarya bubbles
Invisibility
Turrets do not target during inviz but Soldier ult will lock on
6 second cooldown on inviz (lasts ~6 seconds)
Gives complete invisibility unless you're right up next to an enemy (then there's a shimmer)
Sonic arrow and Widow ult will see through inviz
Taking damage shuts down inviz
Hearing footsteps is an open question....
Primary Weapon
Uzi has same range as soldier with more spread
60 round clip size
Teleporter
6 second cooldown on tele (15 seconds to use before it expires)
Tele beacon cannot be destroyed
Tele beacon is eaten by D.Va defense matrix
There's a visual indicator to show the general direction Sombra teleported when she uses this.
Hacking
12 second cooldown on hack (about a second to use)
Hack lasts 1 minute on health packs (they regen faster and cannot be used by enemies)
Taking damage shuts down hacking
Hack range is about 9-10 meters
Hacking an enemy shows ult status
Cannot hack through shield
Cannot hack before game start
Hacked health packs show Sombra icon that "drains" as the minute goes by
Sombra cannot override an enemy Sombra's hack, but she can refresh her own health pack hacks.

Winston is a pretty hard counter
Hacking a health pack and dropping your tele on it is a legit strat
That passive seems huge.
Taking damage shutting down hacking as well as it needing a second is also pretty major. She shouldn't be able to just walk up to a Rein and hack him to remove his shield. One that's paying attention should be able to get a hammer swing off and disrupt it.

True. Sombra does not want to take Reaper in an even 1-on-1. Though, she's not likely be alone if she shorts out a Death Blossom (who death blossoms a single target)? And if she's chasing a retreating Reaper to a health pack, Reaper's probably wounded.
The LoS on her ult seems to be based on the projector in Winston's case at least
So like, if you see 40% of the bubble, but can't actually see the projector, you won't actually destroy it.
Not sure if it works the same way with Rein, but that'll provide an opportunity for Reins to beat the ult through smart positioning

For business reasons, I must preserve the outward sign of sanity.

It only lasts for 15 seconds. You'd have to have really good timing to do that even if it works.
Junkrat seems like a solid counter to her as well as Winston. Spamming bombs in general and if he sees her toss a teleport, drop a trap and mine on top of it, wait for her to use it, and there's 200 damage, which just happens to be all her health.

Nano Boost Balance Idea
While Nano Boosted, characters build Ultimate charge at the inverse rate of the damage bonus. That is, since the boosted damage bonus is 150% right now, Ultimate charge is reduced to 66%.
Rationale: In addition to the added damage, defense, and speed, Nano Boost has the knock-on effect of skewing the Ultimate economy of the match. For instance, Reinhardt can drop an Earthshatter, get Nano Boosted, smash his way through the enemy team, and be close to a second Earthshatter. If Reaper's Death Blossom is somehow neutralized or doesn't wipe out the entire enemy team, the damage bonus will allow Reaper to pick up the spares and start on his way to another Death Blossom. Weakening ult charge while Nano Boosted to the point where you're not building it faster than you would normally keeps the ult charge dynamics from getting warped.
Other forms of damage boost, like Mercy's damage amplifier, are not affected by this change.

It's a Long Time that may be valuable still depending on where the healthpack is. Ults are strong! The latter point makes a bigger difference imo.
