When you say "not good" do you mean her vocal cords are going to fall off or do you mean she's going to end up sounding like Leonard Cohen
Relatedly, for the initial dub of Excel Saga in English, the original VA for Excel herself had to quit around the half-way mark, because her Doctor said she'd ruin her voice portraying that character.

Considering that VA work is usually done well in advance, I would think she could return after her voice had recovered and finish the job before they were in need of the last half of Excel's dialogue.
But I have no idea what kind of production schedule Japanese studios lean towards, or what sort of work ethic is expected of Japanese voice actors.

Well, ADV went ahead and hired a replacement actress since the original had actually already started to damage her voice (hence the Doctor's recommendation).
