Princess Zelda's dress is a strong contender for the actual most useful outfit in the game, and Triforce Heroes never treats Link dressing in feminine-coded ways as anything but very stylish and cool

I love that Nintendo has Bowser say that Mario looks great in the wedding dress.
now if only they weren't terrible with the Gerudo portion of BotW...
I beat Paper Mario. That game is really good! It keeps throwing new and interesting situations at you through the whole game, and the dialogue is stellar. Laughed a lot while playing. The combat was really fun too, with tons of different action commands to keep things from getting stale, but if I had a complaint it would be that there were maybe a few too many enemies per area.
Wish I could play The Thousand Year Door, but maybe I'll download Super Paper Mario next since I can't.
bought one of those switch dock case replacements, was fairly easy to disassemble the original and install in the new one.

Aside from like the two times I've had friends play Switch with me, I don't think I've used it out of handhold mode since I had to sell my pro controller back in December or whatever
I'm completely comfortable with the system in handheld, but I can't stand the joycon grip

if you're looking for more of that gameplay, super paper mario will probably be a let down
I still think its a good game but its very different from what paper mario/TTYD had established
Imagine an online version of Crystal Chronicles and how much griefing would happen.

That game needed more of world 1, 3, and 8. Everything else is a Monkey Island slog.

At this point I'd just take TTYD ported to Switch. I dunno if Nintendo/Intelligent Systems can make a good proper Paper Mario anymore.

I think people that haven't played TTYD in a long time would probably be surprised at how much padding there is in that game.
The game makes you walk back and forth across most of the areas several times.
Also the difficulty spike with the final boss is frankly just mean. The rest of the game is pretty breezy, and then the last boss is all "hope you know how to abuse broken badge combos jackass!".

A lot of the TTYW partners aren't that useful, to be fair. By the end I was mostly just using Vivian for the fire AoEs and Veil, Goombella for her ability to give Mario her turn, and occasionally Bobbery and the Yoshi as needed. Barely ever used Flurrie nor Ms Mowz, and Koops was an occasional liability since he could only hurt grounded enemies and could be knocked prone.
Also Mario's Jump was just way better than the Hammer, since you could get Badges that made you invulnerable to spiked and fire enemies while Jumping and Multibounce was so damn good.

Oof, yeah. Vivian is fantastic and the whole idea with Doopliss is great, but that actual chapter is a pain since there's so much backtracking. You need to go between the two major locations in that chapter at least four times, I think? And the path is narrow, too, so it's not as easy to avoid enemies as it is on the more standard-width paths.
And then you have the other chapters. Rawk Hawk is the best but the chapter is a series of combat arenas, the whole thing with the Punies is a fun idea but kind of just a pain in practice, etc. etc.
There's some great chapters as well (I like the train, for instance), but personally I kind of prefer Paper Mario 1? It feels a bit more consistent. The highs aren't as high, but I'd argue that the lows aren't as low either?

Yeah Paper Mario 1 is definitely my favorite as well.
I like all of the first 3 a lot but that one is the top for me.
I think TTYD is my favorite but I still really love 1 and super. I replay them somewhat regularly.
Speaking of paper Mario, I'm playing paper jam right now and even though he's just a guest star I'm giving this game my stamp of approval. The reuse of a lot of old bros moves is a little lame and sometimes having a 3rd party member positioned on the center makes it hard to figure out the direction of oncoming attacks, but the bosses are fun and I like the clustered paper enemy mechanics

Are you the sort of person who'd pick up the Chalice in Crystal Chronicles and start running?
Season 1 was fine, but Season 2 has been really good.
I still need to play the final episode to see if they stuck the landing.
