but i just realised that with my last paycheque, i paid off everything i owed people and bought the dumb expensive things i wanted (new runners, a router and a rasp pi setup) and put money in my savings
i love my new job so much
i'm not actually broke, i stuck to a budget and have savings
when i filed bankruptcy my lawyer told me to apply any liquid funds to bills. i now have paid my car registration for the year, no car loan payment due until december, no car insurance payment due until december, no cell phone due until december
*drops massive sack on the ground*

used to be a regular thing where one friend would bum cigarettes off of me all the time, and every now and then he came up to me with a literal fistful of cigarettes to pay me back
it was a slightly inconvenient system
This is like when the Christians decided it was actually ok to collect interest on loans
well at completely random times I ended up with a fistful of loose cigarettes and no idea how to store them since I don't carry around a spare empty pack

if somebody owes me a beer due to a bet, that is the one debt I will call in, but in the form you owe me a beer, so let us go together to a place that has beer
apart from doing rounds because the line at the bar is annoying, people only owe me beers because they forgot their card or they ran out of money and I'll pay the price of a beer for their continued company, which they'll pay back at some point, or not.
Lend to people easily, call in no debts, and pay people back as soon as possible

We are getting a proper fall hike in this afternoon, I am excite
I am having to bite my tongue because I've casually suggested one more layer or two for 'Fish's planned outfit about half a dozen times now and she's getting irritated
So I'll just wear an extra layer to sacrifice partway through
I'm thinking of putting away ten thousand each month, if I'm gonna get as much work as seems to be the case it could be doable
and then start studying again next autumn, with enough money that with a little working on the side I can have a relatively comfortable amount of spending money and not have that stress me out unduly
also maybe establish some better routines for saving money
but I guess I am going to try to act like there is a future. Time will tell if that is too optimistic or not. But since my account balance is steadily ticking upwards and I'm not spending more money than usual I guess it could be possible.
(no it deffo is too optimistic since I'm getting a car and thus expenses but I'll try)
EDIT: kroner, mind, not dollars.

Well, after she's added six extra layers, can you blame her?

There's a gusty wind blowing out of the north that I fear she isn't giving due consideration!
Ronya my favorite math professor shopped in my store recently and he introduced me to his fiancée as ‘one of my favorite students’ and I wanted to cry and quit my job and go to school full time

I knew that post was in kroners but I prefer to pretend it's in dollars and that secretly the standard of living in Norway is so high that you consider a six-figure income a subsistence wage :P

well that's saving per month from now until next august and then spread that across years of studying
also student loans I guess. Either the 40% of them that gets converted to a scholarship - poor translation, I know, but free money - if you pass exams - or the full loan and accrue more debt. I dunno.

A bold take on a carbonara

As it should be

I've been doing a lot of curries recently
Stir fry on couscous with a vaguely-Asian inspired sauce
CRV, but that's just brand loyalty talking
Hm. Sautéed green beans with a little bacon for flavor, maybe potatoes (mash, roast, or boil with parsley and butter), and pan or broil fish?
Ok then I feel compelled to chime in for the Forester
Yeah, this sounds pretty sensible.
I think I'll go have a look at the fish counter and let inspiration strike.
i am excite
so naturally i went to the bar, as is my way on fridays
and now i am sick

Sounds suspiciously domestic
(The CRV is almost certainly also built "locally" :P )
I have an old (98) forester now and the only thing that gives me pause is that I have a thousand dollars in repairs every six to twelve months.
Hence the new car, actually.
what i am saying is that there is no cause and effect and there is nothing i could have done to prevent this
Are they still the official car of the lesbians anymore though?
fuck you body you don't control me
It never hurts to try and see if one's current viral strain is alcohol resistant or not I say.
Fish tacos!!!!

Looking forward to touching dice and figures with you in 40 minutes

How dare you two slowly become best friends right in front of my eyes, going on trips, playing games, etc
I’m moving to nyc and putting a wedge in this
It’s too late baby
We’re couple friends
it's okay
i licked every single one this morning

HEY NOW
I've worked seven days for these people and there's only twelve hours left of overtime they could legally give me for a month
EDIT: three of these days we left on time. The other four were... rough.
Do they pay extra for you too look the other way?
... economy?!
