Sheila O’Malley is great and everyone should read her work.
i felt really guilty reading this because i honestly hadn't realised she'd written and directed films. but then i went to check wikipedia: her filmography only includes year/film/role/notes
He cheated on his wife which no one really talks about but he's also a good example how to reconcile and grow as a person after so it's also not exactly cancellation material or worth throwing in his face

Terry Crews has fucked up because he's human and humans fuck up.
But he talks about his fuck ups, he owns his shit, and he works to make himself a better person and to help others who have been in similar situations.

I suppose that’s what I mean. He has neutralized it very effectively from being used as ammo against him.

It's not being neutralised, it's being honest? I mean he is not the only celebrity or person who has done it, and it's something that I disagree with on a fundamental level, but it is something that does happen (but shouldn't) but I wouldn't say if someone does cheat on their partner that they are irredeemable garbage people, compared to people who abuse other people.
Just finished watching the original Pet Sematary for the first time. There's a kinda goofy charm to it, minus, you know, the horrific event.
The chunky accents, the doctor that looks like a booze soaked Kurt Cameron, Herman Munster drinking beer on his porch, the goofball effects, it's all kinda weirdly fun, in a 80's King adaption kind of way.
Apostle had two stories going on, and the second one is kinda a spoiler
dude infiltrating a weird cult, and the cult leader struggling to actually lead this cult while trying to shy away from scaring his followers while still being pretty happy with having cult guards looming around, and having a bunch of terrible violent cult stuff at hand just in case, but also losing control to an even more violent second in command
and they were both pretty good an interesting, but they kinda didn't mesh quite so well? I dunno, the second distracted from the mystique of the first, and the need to have all this threat of fantastical violence and the inability to trust anyone for the first kinda meant that the cult leader ended up being a lot less sympathetic than they were trying to play him
it was still really enjoyable, and the messiness of how the two stories interacted gave the movie quite a bit of charm, but i dunno if it did either of them as well as it could have
StraightziHere we may reign secure, and in my choice,To reign is worth ambition though in HellRegistered Userregular
I thought it handled the balance of the two stories pretty well, personally
I think the infiltration story was a bit of a bait and switch. The movie sets it up as the main thrust of the plot, but he does a terrible job of actually remaining secret and hidden, so by the time the second story is kicking into gear, he's barely hidden any more.

I have been looking into those small slingbag/satchel type things, but they're to small, they just feel dangly. I'm mostly wearing a backpack when I'm out and about anyway, but that's less of an option when going out.
There must be a better way! Maybe I'll get a small messenger/shoulder bag, I dunno
anyway, this ain't the fashion thread
I have a Chrome messenger bag. It's fantastic, but also fucking huge. I think they make smaller ones if you're interested in that, though.

How many celebrities would openly talk about going to rehab for a porn addiction?
He made an example of himself and has helped a lot of people because of that.
Terry Crews is my platonic ideal for manhood.
He talks about it!

It's possible they folded it into the new direction of the show with a line or 2 and I am forgetting.

I thought, and memory is not on my side here,

You should watch a movie called The Greasy Strangler, it can show you how to deal with stuff like this.
At least, aside from Dan Stevens absolutely mad-dogging everyone with his eyes all the time.
No matter what movie he's in, he always puts this look on that makes me hear the 'Ironsides' theme in my head.
