oh I'M sorry forty do YOU have 7 kills as Lucio NO I DI DN'T THINK SO DON'T EVNE @ ME
I played him the other day and had my team rage at me for not healing them and getting kills. I went back and watched the replay. While I killed 3 low-health people, including their tank and healer, two of them got dismantled by a single Valla. What am I even supposed to do here.
I saw you on last night, man. I would have asked to join you guys but I was just spamming AI games to close out all the dailies that I had built up while I was away and to finish out the event.
I'm super excited to get back into HotS. I missed this game a ton. It might be a while before I'm on consistently, though. These next few weeks are really tight for me: tomorrow night I'm interviewing Trina Robbins for the podcast, then next week we're recording another marathon, and next weekend I have another episode to do. Just a ton on my plate at the moment, but I'll try to jump on this weekend.

When I get back in town we need to slam some games down, duck!
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
Like that time @Munkus was on the other team, and didn't know we were in the same game despite my commentary on his play.

You kept making odd comments like “man this Alaraksucks “ and I’d be like “wow, I am in a game with a shitty Alarak on the other team too! Wow!”
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
Speaking of Alarak, you ever have one of those games where you're playing as him, look at your teammates, and think: "yeah, I'm taking the +sadism on teammate death" talent?

I am living proof that you can spend all game largely ignoring objectives in HotS in favor of farming and jungling and still be wildly successful.
literally lost a game because a murky on the enemy team did this all fucking game and my dumbshit team never went to stop him
i'm the fucking healer, i fucking can't
but hoooooly shit this fucking LESS THAN 2K TOTAL HERO DAMAGE MURKY was broadcasting his dumbshit strategy SO CLEARLY and yet my team couldn't get their shit together. i fucking knew he was going to be stealing our camps because he had bribe. i ping the camps and say this. lo and fucking behold.
murky's just splitpushing all game. we're still losing obj despite the 5v4 because my team is incompetent as fuck. so now he's getting omega value because he's getting keeps.
we LITERALLY SEE HIM go across the map through the watchtower into our hard camp and i say that he's there and ~*no one goes there*~
in-fucking-credulous
so yeah just fucking do that if you wanna win because ain't no one gonna fucking stop you, holy shit
Looks like Unranked Draft is getting FCFS and preferred roles.
I want to be excited about this because I want a mode where I can draft but not have to play super sweaty all the time.
My experience with UD, though, is most players still just want to play the heroes they want to play with no regards to draft, yet for some reason won't do it in QM. I really wish this wasn't the case.

Welcome to a couple years ago. Why do you think I'd been whining about ETC not getting healing numbers on the scoreboard for so long? I knew he was doing this shit but apparently no one else did??
I am living proof that you can spend all game largely ignoring objectives in HotS in favor of farming and jungling and still be wildly successful.
Well the mercs haven't been quite this overtuned for the game's whole life. I still vastly prefer HOTS mercs to DOTA jungling where one player just leaves his team hanging for most of the game so that he can steal the glory in the final minutes of the game as a roided up juggernaut with more fancy items than Batman.
I've said it before, but one of my favored aspects about HOTS is that it does not really have the role of "the Carry." The Carry is a central source of drama that gives MOBAS bad reputations. Everyone wants to be the carry. They want to get the most gold for sweet weapons and they want someone else to buy mundane things like wards. They want to be the guy who's the centerpiece of the victory battle. But queue into a quickmatch game and you're bound to run into trouble as two or more people demand to go mid or feed.
The closest that HOTS gets to the Carry role are a few characters like Butcher or Alarak that have a feast or famine thing going for them, but even then they don't really scale as hard as a well fed and farmed carry in DOTA. HOTS XP/level system also doesn't necessitate that the rest of the team bend over backwards to accommodate the carry.

i mean i carry my team every game sooo 8-)
That's a testament to your skills though. Your character is still more or less on equal footing with your teammates and you simply leverage your character better. It's entirely different to the Carry's of other MOBAS where a fed Carry that's tricked out with late game items enjoys a significant raw stat advantage over his teammates.

LOL Dibby can barely keep up with a tank's healing when he's playing a healer.
