Maybe Konami is the first company to realize that there's a market for international versions, particularly among speedrunners.
Legit I'm waiting for Castlevania 3 to show up on the Switch Online thingy for the bitchin' better music of the Japanese version :P (I love that Switch is region free so much for this stuff) I always wished they'd patch in the proper music to the US releases on some of these re-releases (since at this point, it's an emulator, you could have a billion sound channels if you wanted) but they never do T_T
Well that's a shame. But I wonder if it's something they will fix. I did hear they are going to patch in the Japanese versions of the games a bit later on.
(it's weird though, usually companies opt for using the last version of their software in these re-releases, not the first :P In other words, why Ganondorf has green blood and all the Gerudo symbols aren't moons and stars in like every OoT re-release)
I wonder if original OoTs are valuable now.
I heard they even made the well less bloody in the DS version.
It's NES, the emulation would be wrong if it actually sounded good.
I can see why reactions are mixed on this collection, if you don't remember the original that well you probably wouldn't complain about this issue. And it may be from using an early ROM revision rather than an emulation error?
It's just annoying seeing companies drop the ball on official releases of their own games. I have other avenues of playing them, but I do like to pick up official releases if well done. Hopefully they fix the issues.

Decided to tackle our front flowerbed today. It's always been tricky apparently because there's a big tree in it which both sucks up all the water and shades the whole bed, so it's dark and the soil is bone dry. My brother gave up on having plants in it a while ago and just stood some in pots on top of the bed. The only thing that actually grew in the bed were masses of self-spread bluebells, which he doesn't really like because after flowering they go all mushy and gross.
The pots had drip irrigators in them and I noticed the other day they were totally flooded because the pots weren't draining at all, because the plants were completely potbound and also tree roots were growing up into the pots through the drainage holes seeking water.
I dug out a ton of bluebells and put 250 litres of compost in to try and help water retention, then planted two of the plants (the third is a pieris which wants full sun so I'm going to repot it and put it round in the back garden). Also planted the London Pride I got from my gran and a Siberian Bugloss Brunnera macrophylla which I bought today, both of which like shade apparently.
The Siberian Bugloss. It's supposed to spread and provide good ground cover:
Before pic:
After:
They look annoyingly similar for how long I was working on it...
Hopefully I haven't doomed these plants by putting them in the ground, they've got the irrigators but the tree might still murder them. I'm going to get some foxgloves to put in as well because they like both shade and dry.
My monstera has gotten too big for its britches and keeps falling over in its tiny, lightweight plastic pot. I still haven't unpacked the stands, which would definitely help, but I'm thinking it might have outgrown that stand as well. Going to have to repot it soon.
The problem child:
Pretty wild to see how much it (and the other plants, but ESPECIALLY the monstera) have grown in 10 months.

I have also arranged for a professional to come look at the tree. It hasn't been pruned for years so really needs thinning out, but more worryingly I found a hole at the base of it today. It has a dead branch we've known about for a while and ignored because it looks fairly solid, but I've never noticed the hole before as it's around the back side.
The rest of the tree looks fine and it always has loads of flowers and fruit so hopefully it won't need removing. It would make that bed easier to grow things in but I hate losing trees.
ND are you going to pot that monstera into a bigger pot or divide it?
I didn't even consider dividing it! Hmm....I was going to just repot it, maybe I'll garner up some courage and try to divide it? I'll have to look that up...
I replanted my basil after it died due to neglect by a Bad Roommate while I was away, and I now have 27 1-2cm seedlings in my line planter. That is double what I got the first time! It's odd, though, the whole planter gets the same amounts of water and sunlight, but almost all of the seedlings are on the west half of the planter. I am not sure I can relocate the little fellers. Maybe the other half just needs more time. Not sure!

I don't know if that's a plant you can easily do it with, I just have a thing for getting new plants for free. Currently waiting for a couple of babies from my sister-in-law's spider plant to take root so I can nab them, and I think I might divide my peace lily soon.
I've got an itch for a new houseplant for my room. I really like the look of Peperomia argyreia. But if I get more plants I really need more space for them and that probably means putting up a shelf. Hmm.
I was pacing my office parking lot on a call, and noticed off to one side a decent patch of both spearmint and peppermint plants!
I know you shouldn't eat herbs growing near paved surfaces due to runoff, but could I theoretically transplant them and wait a year or however long and use them?

You could. Mint is one of the easiest things to grow as well. In fact unless you want it taking over wherever you plant it I recommend keeping it in pots.

Someone planted some kind of mint in my yard years before I moved in. I can always tell, because it stinks like gum whenever I mow my lawn.
Of course, the creeping charlie keeps it from going anywhere, and I'm not ever going to eat it because of that.
It's good stuff though!
Yeah mint is a pervasive species and grows like a literal weed. We had 4 mint plants in our front yard in Portland and after a year it had choked out the all the tulips and we had like 50 mint plants.
I have a corner of the yard I don’t like and don’t want to bother with so I’m planning to plant the lemon balm there.

Having a real problem with snugs at my allotment. Most of the seedlings in my greenhouse have been destroyed. They didn't touch the butternut squash, but I planted those out yesterday and today could see a few bites. Arrgh.
Testing out using sheep's wool as a deterrent, saw it recommended on Gardener's World. Not sure how it's supposed to work. Maybe snugs have ticklish feet? Worth a try though because I hate to use pellets.
Also I got an adze/chillington hoe today, and it's the best money I've spent since I got the allotment. Digging and weeding is sooo much easier now. I don't know why these tools aren't more popular, it's a struggle to find anywhere that sells them.
Hello people that might know what they're doing! I need help!
My spinach looks like it's probably trash. In looking into it, the most likely thing I could find is Downy Mildew, but this doesn't quite look like it. Any ideas?
I'm trying to do raspberries and failing miserably, but this is the worst of them. It was a beautiful little potted thing when I got it, and transplanting it made everything fall out. Look salvageable?
We bought 2 flats of cauliflower, and one of them totally failed to grow, and the other totally failed to be cauliflower. Any idea what we actually bought?
Thanks for any help!

That sounds fine to me.
You don't notice the beeping sound at the 2-second mark when he first whips the knight, followed by crackling music, then another random beep sound?

Probably. I still have my original gold cart
Not until you mentioned it and I turned the sound up. It's not supposed to do that, I take it?

I thought it was a typo of 'slug', but you typed it twice and also slugs don't have feet.

I am too lazy to type 'slugs and snails' so I went for snugs. I guess slails works too.
And they don't have feet but they do have a foot!
