Wait what game is PJ running

The comments got locked while I was typing up a response to a dude named after a DK64 minigame was trying to say trans people are wrong, like how can you be named after a game starring trans icons and be that stupid
(also watch Amyrlinn's Borderlands 2 co-op run coming up at SGDQ)
Personally, I am looking forward to: FFT No Math% by Claude (Monday ~11PM ET), Oblivion Any% No OoB and Skyrim Main Quest% by BubblesDelFuego (Wed. ~9AM), TASBot plays Final Fantasy (Thursday ~5PM), 9-man FFX Any% Relay (Friday 1:45 AM), SMRPG 100% by pidgezero_one (Saturday ~10:30 PM)

I took a peek at RPG Limit Break for a minute yesterday and the first thing that happened was, in chat, someone asking if it was affiliated with GDQ and then going on a jag about it being 'good' that it wasn't and was thus a charity he 'could support.' And then I closed the stream!

You know you can hide chat and still watch the stream though, yeah? Not even just full screen, pop out chat and then minimize it, or the full window mode Twitch does.

Over the past year I've gotten so used to being in Twitch stream chats. GDQ and OWL are impossible to be in because of their pace (and they actually load so much bullshit it actually slows my browser down somehow) so I close those. This wasn't moving anywhere near that fast though, hence leaving it up.

Yeah, they look like they hired the same company that does the overlays/graphics for GDQ for sure, but then so did ESA, because they're very good and clean.
Mario runner GrandPOOBear started a thing called Speedrun Sessions in partnership with Red Bull, as a touring speedrun show with top runners doing exhibition runs in-person and on stream. The first one was last month, at the Ground Kontrol arcade in Portland.
So the stream has a brief presentation on what it's like to create a game randomizer going on right now.
It's not a speedrun and not what I'd expect from a stream GDQ was hosting, but it's really neat. Especially since I'm back in school studying computer science and learning how to code.

I love Oni, and the speedruns.
I think last I saw on a GDQ there was a terrible unskippable battle section that kind of dragged it down. Maybe I'm wrong, but it's been a few years. I wonder if that's still the case.
Either way, I'll only be able to catch it on YouTube reruns.
Summer Games Done Quick 2019 is coming up quickly, as it's in June this year. I think it was in July the last few years? I don't really remember, I feel like it's usually been in July though. Anyway this is to remind you that this year it starts:

It’s PJ, hype mode is the only available mode.

Hell of an upgrade lol
We've got GPB running GrandPOOWorld 2, an SMW hack, TMR running Battletoads warpless and Cuphead All Bosses, and Simpleflips* doing a Mario 64 Crowd Control run, where the crowd at the event will be able to control the game and make all kinds of wacky shit happen.
