I've probably said this before, but I love how Stan & Francine are both fucking nuts. Francine isn't the serious foil to her outrageous husband; both she and Stan are crazy, and therefore perfect for each other.
So I didn't care much for the Hayley and Jeff episode recently, but the most recent one (where Steve goes undercover as a hall monitor) was amazing. It was surprising to have Turlington back after all this time, I always love Principal Lewis plots, and I actually liked Tuttle in this one.

re-watching some mid run episodes, and man Ricky Spanish is probably the most finely crafted episode the show did. If only for the Werner Herzog stinger

That was nice take on a Gremlins parody. And Shellfish turns Rogu into Cthu-Rogu.

I like the current run of american dad. It has nothing left to say and nothing left to do, so rather than turn into a bland zombie of a show, they're just fucking around and having fun with it. Nothing has to make any real sense, continuity is discarded when inconvenient. Characterizations swing wildly as required by the script because who gives a shit.

Thousands of hot, local singles are waiting to play at bubbulon.com.
I really do enjoy how carefree they are about it. They can try out all sorts of weird ideas and get a lot more experimental and whimsical, and all their jokes feeling very in-the-know that they may be tired or already have been done before. It's very chat thread.
Also I surprisingly enjoyed the Enter Stanman and Klaus' Funeral episodes (which are both great illustrations of the writers being like fuck it)
I couldn't find the thread tbh. I caught tonight's episode already on vod and its hilarious. Whoever had the idea to go all in on rogers personalities and costumes around season 2 made a genius character.

The part where he's annoyed that the assassin is late on for it to be revealed as Roger got me. You're never quite sure when he's gonna pull that card.
Finally catching up on American Dad. The Langley Meadows one was amazing.
Hayley: "I'm gonna do everything I can to get you to that test!"
Seriously Injured Steve: "Or...maybe...the hospital?"
Hayley: "No. Test!"
Steve: "Please...hospital..."
Hayley: "I'm gonna get you to that test!"
Steve: "...hospital..."
EDIT: For a second there American Dad tricked me into believing chivalric cabaret was a thing.
Stan: "Help, my wife is dying!"
The Weekend: "Stan, I'm a virgin. Right now I have enough virginal power to produce five hit albums, or save one life."
Stan: "I don't understand."
The subplot of Hayley trying to cheat on Jeff, with Jeff's help, was gold.
EDIT: Principal Lewis: "This year the school play will be my reimagination of Oedipus Rex, which is currently titled Oedipus Rocks, because the school board wouldn't let me call it Motherfucker."
Steve (singing): "Oedipus' wife is the love of my life! There is nothing wrong. My wife is probably not my mom."
Holy shit this episode is weird as fuck and absolutely someone's fetish.
American Dad is weirdly in the same place as King of the Hill was years ago.
Consistently entertaining, doing it's thing really well but also flying under the radar.
I'm still one of the weirdos that has cable, so I I watch all the episodes that they play on TBS, and after the shaky first season, most are pretty good.
American Dad is consistently the most entertaining animated show and it makes me sad it gets no credit even if it somehow keeps surviving. It's hilarious when Family Guy demotes Meg to American Dad like it's a downgrade when Family Guy is just unwatchable now. There was one recent episode where they are trapped on a sinking ship and when they're trapped and about to die it just flips to their house and they're safe. I know it's irreverent but you can't dedicate an episode to one story and be too lazy to have someone work a way out of the problem.
The only downside to American Dad being good is I can't stick it on in the background because it demands you actually pay attention because it's clever.
It's weird to me that American Dad apparently did poorly enough on Fox to be moved to TBS, but on TBS ended up being one of its most watched originals and earned an additional five (and possibly more) seasons. Even then I hardly ever hear anyone talk about it.

Its not weird they cut it to make room for new animated shows that failed miserably

I'm watching the episode where Stan gets a DNA test that says he's Canadian. I find it very amusing that even Steve apparently has enough pull with the CIA to get Klaus' brain switched into a moose, yet no one is willing to have Klaus put in a human body.
EDIT:
Oh wow this episode took a really disturbing turn.
I think it says a lot about how weird this show can get that I accepted Stan's hallucination as actually happening.
EDIT 2: Oh, wow, Debbie showed up in an episode with a non-speaking appearance! This must be the second time in eleven years. Weird how she just disappeared after being Steve's only recurring girlfriend (for a second it looked like Akiko was going to be Steve's second girlfriend, but then she just disappeared). At least they didn't just say she died off-screen like Linda Memari did. Maybe this is the price that has to be paid to keep Reginald the Koala from coming back.
Now if they'd just get rid of Billy. I don't know who on the writing staff decided to put him in Steve's school, but whenever he appears in a speaking role I dock the episode a few points for each line he gets.

Billy is like the vaudeville piano guys in Family Guy, who someone obviously thinks is hilarious, but isn't really. It has its moments but Rogu is enough gross small creature for me.
Rogu surprisingly hasn't showed up much at all. I kind of wonder why he was even introduced. I think he's only been in one of the episodes I've seen over the last few days, and even then it was mostly just so Snot could say "Hey, who's the veiny kid?"
EDIT:
Stan: "Roger, I need your help."
Roger: "Sorry, Stan, I'm a duck today."
The only episode Billy was even a bit entertaining in was the Sllort Episode, and even then, they could have had Roger say his lines and it'd have been just as good if not better

The Sllort episode was actually the one that cemented my dislike of Billy on account of how prominent he was.
In other news, the episode I'm watching now has William Jackson Harper (who played Chidi from The Good Place, among other things) as a guest star, so that's neat. Now we've had four The Good Place alumni on the show: Ted Danson, D'Arcy Carden, and Jameela Jamil have all appeared before.
This also reminds me of the time American Dad had Allison Brie, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Charlie Day guest star all in the same episode (Adventure in Hayleysitting, one of my favorite episodes of the entire show).

I believe Billy is in the show specifically because he's not funny. I swear it's a Seth McFarlane thing. Let's put something in this comedy show that's 100% not funny at all, wouldn't that be hilarious? Cue Mr. Conway Twitty.
I'd say some of my favorite episodes are Hot Water and Rapture's Delight. Which are amazing but are a huge departure from standard American Dad, which is saying something in a show where so much random shit happens and continuity is foggy at best.

"Klaus, that was chilling."
I didn't get it.
Then I watched it.
Now I get it.
Hayley destroying the phone was a nice touch.
I also was not expecting
Steve - "Got this gun. Stole it from my old man"
Stan - "cool!"
Dr. Ray: "No, I didn't."
Francine: "Okay!"

Seems like they're using shit a lot more
It is. I think they explicitly said that in the early advertising.

In true Fox tradition.
