When I went to blizzcon in 2009 I was still amazed how people slummed it in bushes and in other places rather than get a room {It was obvious they flew in with the clothes they had and little luggage} one of the leaders of this little group though seemed this was not the first time he did this
Unplugged is definitely more expensive than South. There are lots of close options, but because it's all right downtown, none of them are cheap. If you want something affordable without splitting the room at least four ways, you're setting yourself up for a long walk.

I'd be down for a PAX House. I'm not sure what the status of the Springhill Suites is this year, last year they added a bar that was almost never open/stocked

Timing works out perfectly for me as I have money leftover from my last check + get paid this Friday + get 3 checks this month so I don't get certain deductions out of the first one of the month.

Actually, I have been to PAX Prime in Seattle twice. I am just cheap.

Yeah, South's prices have gone up, but all hotels at all of the NA PAXes have in the same time frame.
