The Darby episodes are a given, as are the Oingo Boingo ones
I mean most of the Battle In Egypt episodes are good, but I think easily half of the first part can be skipped and you lose basically nothing

Remote Romance (リモートロマンス Rimōto Romansu) is a Stand designed by Hirohiko Araki for the JoJo Exhibition 2012. Its purpose was to promote the art exhibition via internet live-streaming.
On select nights during the exhibition's residence, Remote Romance would "appear" in the gallery and wander the gallery, looking at pieces of artwork while under the "control" of users who accessed the gallery's live stream on Google+, with the Stand's point of view fed into the live stream as well as simultaneous feeds of the Stand being followed around the gallery and of people who logged in to "control" the Stand.
Wheel Of Fortune? Dark Blue Moon, The Devil, and Strength? Hell, you could probably just skip to the end of the Tower episode just to get plot-relevant stuff.

Wheel of fortune is kinda hilarious though
“THIS IS THE END OF PART THREE!”
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
The Set arc missed a golden opportunity by not having Joseph involved. Would’ve been great to have him try his trick on Joseph only to end up with the dude in his Part 2 prime.
Strength is a frustrating episode to me because man do i love the premise of "this orangutan is a stand user, and its stand is a cargo ship???" but boy oh boy do i not need to see said orangutan creeping on a child, especially with where they decide to put the camera for that scene
my SDC guide would be something like:
Watch the first 5 episodes (intro, meeting kakyuin, tower, meeting polnareff)
skip to ep 8, "oh yeah they picked up ths kid hitchhiker, don't worry she's not important," watch to ep 12 (the devil, yellow temperance, emperor and hanged man, empress)
skip 13, watch 14-17 (justice and the lovers)
skip to 21, watch the rest of season 1 (judgment and high priestess)
then battle in egypt:
watch the first three episodes (iggy's intro and oingo and boingo)
watch the anubis episodes if you wanna
skip to ep 10, watch the rest of the season (d'arby 1, oingo 2, pet shop, d'arby 2, vanilla ice, dio's world)

I dunno the joke about Jotaro is pretty great
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
In terms of most useful to least useful Stardust Crusader stands (not counting Star Platinum the World) I'd actually rank them like this:
1. The Fool
2. Star Platinum
3. Magician's Red
4. Hierophant Green
5. Hermit Purple
6. Silver Chariot
Also in terms of my favorite to least favorite Crusaders (not counting Joseph because that's not fair I had a whole part to get to like him first)
Avdol>Iggy>Polnareff>Jotaro>Kakyoin (Kakyoin is such a nothing character that all he is memes.)
edit: 7th Stand User spoilers: An extra reason to like this game for me?
The secret background plot of the game is an attempt to stop the ending of Part 6 from happening.
Gundi on

Hermit purple is the most useful of the original stands if you're not trying to beat the shit out of someone.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
But in Jojo universe you always have to beat the shit out someone though. But otherwise yeah hermit purple is bonkers useful for so many things.

The issue with the Fool is that yeah, you can't beat the stand itself but you can beat up the user.
I feel like magician's red is the most straight up OP in battle outside of Star Platinum's the World, and it's because of this that Avdol literally never fights anyone.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
jojo power scales feel even more impossible to discuss than any other show
like yeah magician's red seems crazy strong... but then whoop's here's fuckin', 「FIVE MAN ELECTRICAL BAND」, which can turn fire into snot and oh no now you just have a gross sneezy chicken

I like Avdol so muuuch. He was done so dirty by part 3.
Anyways the reason I put The Fool at the top was because the Fool can, aside from fighting... fly, and make perfectly realistic movable sand illusions. So y'know. Nice.
no it's because Araki decided drawing fire was way too much work
I thought he literally said it was because fire was too broken of an ability to use on the reg and it's why you never see another fire stand ever.
Yeah he calls out fire and poison gas *cough Fugo cough*

I like that Araki's solution to writing an OP ability is to either A: forget about that power or B: have the character nope out of the story
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
Iirc, he said something to the effect of fire either being a weak effect (if it has to follow natural laws) or absurdly strong (if it’s just under the user’s total control, as it is with Avdol), and it’s hard to write it being somewhere in between. Gonna need to dig out that volume and check that later.

Or C: give the protagonist a NEW ability (that he totally had the whole time, I promise guys) that completely negates the power anyway
I know you're probably referring to Star Platinum with this, by my favorite example is Gold Experience turning a rock into a snake that has the antidote for the super deadly virus that Purple Haze is transmitting.

I was actually mainly thinking of Gold Experience Requiem!
Diavolo: I win!
Giorno: Lol nope I win, also you lose forever

At least that one he introduced a plot element earlier that was literally "This thing gives people new bullshit powers."

I like to think of it as
Diavolo: It just works!
Giono: Acutally, no it doesn't.
Also, speaking of Kakyoin. Noble Pope is in the top 3 of character themes.
Also the 7th Stand User's OC stand choices for your character have some pretty good gems in them that would be neat to see in an actual Jojo part. Some highlights include
Caravan: A sentient stand that can speak and looks like a large flightless bird carrying a knapsack, which can recreate any object it puts in its sack, and also its knapsack is a pocket dimension. The only thing is it's greedy so it likes payment in exchange for its services.
Pixies: An immobile stand that looks like a tree which emanates 'pixies' which can manipulate any living or non-living object smaller than, like, a small child or a large dog within a certain range of the stand's main body.
Specials: A sentient stand that can speak consisting of six black suited humanoids. Each 'body' of the stand is not particularly stronger than the average human, but each has their own specialty and personality and can act independently or in conjunction with each other.
Wildhearts: A fast, hard to control werewolf like stand which has both claws and fangs and the ability to split parts of its body off into different animals like eagles or cats which become totally uncontrollable automatic stands which mindlessly attack targets until they're destroyed or until the main body retrieves them.
I got Quicksilver. Which is an arm cannon that can shoot various kinds of matter and energy (lasers, water cutters, poison sludge, ice), and can use bits of minerals or metals as fuel.
Not too crazy for story interactions, but has some fun moves. Also, the laser just ruins zombies.
I'm re-reading part 6 and I forgot how much body horror there is.
This happens every time I read Jojo, I remember "oh right there's a lot of body horror in part X" but then I realize "oh right there's a LOT of body horror in part X".
Hey remember when Santanaviento turned chunks of his leg meats into homing missiles?

There's always body horror in Jojo.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
This is a good vid about how I think Araki actually writes things as opposed to just being super absent minded. (i.e. he doesn't really thinks plot points through but also will throw them away with no explanation or hesitation if he realizes he's made something that will make telling the story he wants harder) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZtLDp3jh9E
Rewatching the Jotaro vs Kakyoin fight, there's that moment where Star Platinum individually closes each of it's fingers into a fist. It's such a great "I'm going to hurt you real bad" moment.
