Can't help feeling England and New Zealand would be considerably less calm about this if their positions were not safe. The lack of solidarity with the affected teams is very disappointing.
Namibia v Canada has been called off however. Wales will still play Uruguay and most importantly USA v Tonga is a go. I want to see the Eagles pull out one good performance this year. Previous world cups I have really enjoyed their ball speed and running but this year they have seemed a bit flat. Anyway I'm declaring the winner of Tonga v USA the winner of the worldier cup!
What a test match. That was a great advertisement for world rugby. Feel gutted for Scotland because that was a massive second half performance but Japan played it like a tier one nation in the last 15. Turned it around and tightened up the holes in defence especially on far wing.
Now I have to go calm down because my heart rate is through the roof after that.

Australia played much better then I was expecting, England were just so much better. Big defense and so much control exerted on the game by England. The silver lining for the Wallabies is maybe now they can get rid of that absolute clown Michael Cheika.
Not many games quarter finals get that many points on the board and still remain interesting to watch. I hope the rest of the games this weekend stay this good to watch!

England also paced themselves. So often they have punched themselves out after a barn storming first 40 and faded in the second half. Here they slowly turned the screw at a steady pace.
Just seeing the England forwards coming up as one, working together, celebrating the little victories compared to the lack of cohesion in the Aussies was pretty telling.
OK I'll take the half time score line. I'd like to see a bit more phase play just for peace of mind but Ireland just aren't making the All Blacks need to at the moment so they seem to be content playing a bit of touch rugby in attack.
