Looks like Gearbox is making up for the Takedown delay with increased loot drops. They've announced a farming frenzy from the 16th to 30th, and that the rebalanced Maliwan Takedown should release at the end. Should be a higher rare spawn rate, increased drop rate on dedicated drops, and a higher annointed rate. details

Enjoying a shield/sntnl Zane build with Seein Dead. Electric Handsome Jackhammer with the Cryo annointment. Also, the on grenade throw annointments are crazy. Have two now (Red Queen and Epicenter).
So the farming event has gone pretty well for me. I geared up every character so theyre at least passable in M4. I still need to grind out a few annointed grenades and sheilds though

Re farming my gear sounded tedious but man after a few hours of Cistern farming I'm pretty much swimming in anointed gear again.

"...screenplay by the two-time Emmy-winning screenwriter Craig Mazin." Well, Chernobyl is pretty solid credit. Other than that it's a lot of sequels, like Scary Movies and Hangovers. The linked blurb makes it sounds like its going to be the story of the first game? That's a terrible idea, as it is a very video game video game - nearly voiceless single protagonist killing waves of moops on a 50 hours MacGuffin hunt with a famously disappointing ending. All the personality of the original characters was retconned into the franchise by BL2. They will need to make some real structural changes to make it a four character adventure with emotional hooks, character arcs and a solid payoff at the end. It would have been better to take the Tales approach and come up with a compelling story set in the BL world. Maybe they'll end up going that route? One doubts, but one hopes.
Well, expectations are at zero, especially with Pitchford executive producing. And it's not like I need Borderlands movie. Hopefully it will be good.

The only problem is Zane cant really use Action skill end annointnents so a lot of my drops are worthless for him.
It pissed me off too. I got my first Lyuda by farming Freddie... quite possibly the easiest farm ever.
Don't forget you can get a Lyuda by completing all of Zeroes bounties as well.

Apparently rare spawns are no longer rare and will have loot drops comparable to bosses.
Also you can now flip a switch to make Takedown not fun again

To be fair, it makes more sense as a story, even if hackneyed Hollywood BS, than the actual plot of the first game.
