I wouldn't mind some PA folks to play with again. What levels are you guys? I'm summoner level 59 and unplaced in ranked. I used to be high silver but that was 4-5 seasons ago and recently returned to the game. A lot has changed that I am still learning and I'd probably place in low bronze if I did my quals.
I hardly ever group with people, I recently cleaned out my friend list because I didn't actually know anyone on the list and hardly any were ever online. I've played since release off and on, but never play ranked.
I haven't played ranked (or much lol at all) since season 6, but I may just dabble again. MF and Ashe have been my go-tos. Ashe is still after all these years such an underrated ADC.
Also I was thinking today, why don't they ever bring back the pve events they've made? They spent time making them. For some reason I want to play the yasuo one again.

I mostly play with my "real-life" friends but assuming I'm not and am actually there I don't mind doing normals with people at all. (Level 229 and going to place Silver I-Gold IVish once I finish, to answer the actual question asked.)

I usually finish the season at gold 4, never really play matches in gold. I always do a last minute climb. But I'm a karthus one trick so who knows my mmr with other champions.

I'm playing with mostly real life friends too but they are usually only around weekends.
Well, I decided to go for some ranked. I'm playing ADC this season maining MF and Ashe. I haven't played ranked or played much at all since Season 6, where I was basically a Sona 1TP.
The first game was an utter curb stomp that ended with me provisional placing in Iron 4.
The second game was wild. All mid-Iron to mid-Bronze, and despite a few early kills for me and my team, the enemy team had a great mid game that resulted in them being up by 6K gold at 30 minutes with inhibitors down in our base.
They then proceeded to throw like Tom Brady to Gronk. Our Lee split pushed top AND bot to their base while they did nothing middle lane to stop the rest of us pushing into their base as well. It ended with me blasting the Nexus turrets and Nexus down almost uncontested. I have no idea what they were doing other than feeding individuals into our teamfight mid meatgrinder.
I forgot how fun and intense ranked is, even with that epic throw.

Had a normal game as MF two nights ago that started out real rough, we were well behind on most things but somehow they just kept feeding our Garen until he was an unstoppable juggernaut. I have no idea how they managed to throw that game so hard.
Anyone else have a hard time buying a champ with BE when you don't have a shard? I have a decent amount of BE, want Rumble, but waiting for a shard for it. Just feel like I'll buy him, then immediately get a shard for him.
Watching NA LCS, the game has everyone exiting because double lift went tiny in game. Hoping they don't have to do a restart or whatever.
Just a weird as bug. Happens around 18:30 in game, then they go to pause, the replay shows the bug.\
*edit* reload for players worked. I guess he was partially underground like a reksai? They talk about it a bit and you can see it on the replay. Looked weird. Guess the casters still have the bug on their screen because they didn't reload.
*edit 2* Happens again at 34 minutes into the game on the spectator client if you want to see it.

I should just buy rumble, he's fun in aram.
There's less than a 1% chance that a given shard will be the one you want, they basically exist so new players can start filling their stables with random champs a bit quicker.
Just buy him, if you then get his shard you can cash it in so it's less of a waste than you might think.

I never really thought of the % to drop a shard. I just look at all the shards I have piling up for champs I don't care for. ANyways, you tipped me over the edge, bought
Now you have to buy the Super Galaxy skin because I don't think I have ever seen a Rumble not in that skin.
Just looked it up. Damn that's expensive!

So am I missing something here or is Ornn near indestructible and dumb? He can buy potions to start and then grab a doran's shield after the first wave. Then by level 7 he can buy one mana crystal, get the mana from that crystal immediately, and now he has 958 mana with ability costs 45, 45, and 35. I think I'd rather do yard work than lane against that.

Top really feels fucked up right now.
Ornn is very very strong right now, yes. The nice thing about laning against him though is that you can play someone who needs to scale, and he's not going to prevent you from CSing or anything. You just want to avoid dropping below 500ish health against a good ornn or you get Q-R-E-Wd.

Been thinking about this a lot since it was really a great experience, better than previous attempts for sure. Here are factors that I think contributed.
1. Recruitment far in advance of the tournament (3 weeks out).
-recruitment via PM, poke people every few days until they commit
-focus on one squad for one day rather than trying to get both days to work
-have phone numbers if possible to ensure contact the day of
-have backups—originally reached out to 3 other people who were ultimately unable to play sunday
-no tilters, no bigots, positive attitude, trying to win
2. Narrow elo range+depressed elos
-finally I put together a team of people who are all pretty close in skill, so no one was stuck feeling like they had to hard carry and no one was forced into a lane matchup with an opponent 2 divisions higher than them
-4/5 of team has been plat but everyone is stuck silver/gold right now so we were matched with silver gold. Non-deliberate smurfing ftw! I scouted every opponent on op.gg and we only came across a single person on an enemy team who had been plat the previous season
3. Teamcomps
-everyone listed their comfort picks in advance
-engineered teamcomps around the smallest champion pools
-vaguely thought about team comps in the themes attack/siege/pick/protect/split as per https://www.reddit.com/r/summonerschool/comments/db141l/how_i_correctly_predicted_69_of_professional/
-avoided ever panic picking once it was time for champ select
-Always picked winning lanes top, pushing/winning lane bot and safe lane mid (was also generally winning lane). No 'wait til late game'!
-Picked priority champions rather than worrying about counterpicks
4. Teamwork
-practiced a couple times with 4 out of 5 people--helped us identify win conditions and feel how we worked together
-everyone was on voice; comms had low extraneous chatter but lots of information and shotcalling (naturally fell to jungler)
It was really fun! Much better than SoloQ I wasn't our big carry (that would be the Shark) but I won my lane every time, ensured dragon control, chilled 1v2 when my support roamed, picked whenever was most convenient in the rotation, and output a reasonable amount of dps when needed.

So I have started playing this game with an IRL friend of mine on occasion. I am still extremely new at this but I am masters level at Heroes of he Storm, the blizzard MOBA. Is there an in game PA group I can join or people I can play with? Like I said, I'm EXTREMELY new and I don't know what 90% of these champions can even do.

so apparently my account, which used to be euw, had a non-unique login name and when they moved to riot accounts it got changed to some nonsense alphanumeric string and dropped onto na, thus losing all its progress irreversibly - but the account creation date remains and i keep the rammus skin

@Munkus Beaver Assuming you're on NA, I (summoner: Doctor Ivellius), credeiki, and LoserforhireX are all quite active. SirLandshark has been playing a lot late at nights (well, at least in my time zone), though that might have been mainly for Clash. (Their summoner names are all the same as on here, for what it's worth.) I'm sure there are others, though I'm not friends with too many people on here. @Butters, @MagicPrime, and @RickRude were all talking about playing with people here a bit up thread.
Feel free to hit me up, though. I'm pretty much on late (like 9-12pm CST), once kids get to bed. The champion jungling buffs + Clash (had to ADC?!) have me hyped up for the game again, as well as a new Ranked season. I've been really torn between tryharding in ranked and experimenting with random new champs, so I'm good playing whatever at the moment.

I don't think that the in game PA group has been a thing for like a year or so. Really the few of us who play do so based on friends lists.

There are worse one-tricks but I suggest playing ARAM and against CPU games with other characters to learn how they work. It's very difficult to understand a matchup against a champ you've never played with.
I love playing ADC, but man I need to get better about asking my support for, well, support. I had a normals game today in which my Alistair kept acting as engage in teamfights (we also had an Olaf), after which the enemy Shaco would naturally come out of stealth and assassinate me. I don't know if I expected them to change up a clear play pattern, but we lost a lead and a game due to poor teamfighting, and my lack of communication didn't help one bit.

I’ve been dinking around in this again and would play a few games in the evening, sn is sampraa. Ranked placements put my in bronze, but a couple wins bumped me up to silver 4 with no promos. Matchmaking seems to think I’m somewhere in low to mid gold currently.

One kinda frustrating thing is that in my ranked losses I didn't feel like I helped us lose, and my ranked wins I didn't feel I contributed a ton to the win.

also I am really liking senna support, although I am playing her like two tiers below what I normally do
I like her better as ADC, though I don't know if I can articulate why. I think it's because she's so squishy and what peel she has is very delayed, which is bad for me for a support. At least as ADC I expect I'm going to blow up quickly.
