I'm not really sure what the narrative purpose of killing her would be.
Like it felt like the deaths were mostly over, because the story's been about dealing with grief and survivor's guilt.
Just killing another magical girl seems like it moves things farther just towards everything-sucks-about-being-a-magical-girl territory, which is pretty well trod ground at this point.
A trap is for fish: when you've got the fish, you can forget the trap. A snare is for rabbits: when you've got the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words are for meaning: when you've got the meaning, you can forget the words.

It could potentially be to make Undine feel even more guilty for keeping Goops a secret from the others; if she had warned them, then Cassie wouldn't have started shit and been kicked out and left alone.

I don't think she can as long as Cassie has the power she got from the dream deity. Why else say it's unfortunate that Cassie is "one of hers"? Now, if she were to lose that power, then some headway could be made.
So is it just me or does anyone else think we're about to see the real reason Lapointe took in Lucy? After all, I'm sure having a magic-eater under your thumb in a city where magic's the big deal is a good thing to have in her eyes.

I was expecting something else from the latest Alfie besides Snake wife who previously didn't partake in prostitution suddenly wanting to partake in prostitution, but I guess it's a little better than Cillian walking in on her getting spit-roasted by his childhood bullies

This feels like InCase setting up Cillian as the man who wanted someone to be true to only him, meeting the woman who also wanted that. And both were in previous relationships where the other partner was fucking other people (or wanting to) and they each felt betrayed.
If they aren't meant for each other, I don't know who is.

She doesn't "suddenly" want to partake in prostitution, she wanted to for a while but was afraid of telling Cillian.
