Every close interaction I had with a kangaroo as a child ended with them eating my hair because I guess they thought it was grass. For this reason I never think of them as being good petting zoo animals, but they do often seem to think of humans as weird feral kangaroos so maybe it can work.
Oh I will definitely scritch a roo if it wants me to, I guess I just mean marsupials are neither domesticated nor very bright, and therefore represent a bit of an unpredictable liability around children. They’re good people, though.

I went to a zoo in Brisbane when I was thirteen, and there was a kangaroo enclosure where you were just allowed to go in and hang out with them. And one of them was one of those big giant bastards with weirdly beefy muscles and I was like "no thank you, that is clearly a velociraptor with felt glued to it. I am cool out here."

I've been really into animals my whole life, as a child my parents took me to Healsville Sanctuary (open air native zoo). I definitely got punched in the head by a roo. You were right to be cautious!
Also Tree Kangaroos are rad. And I didn't know they had them at Healsville until now.

some people have a strong involuntary revulsion to squirmy bugs or spiders, we should probably respect that in a "feel-good animal pictures thread" with a spoiler tag and a warning at least.
Speaking as someone who does photoshop edits like that for a living, if it is an edit it is remarkably well done.
There is no discernible repeating pattern in the fur that would occur if the legs were extended with the clone stamp (which is how I would have done it)
If it's an edit it's literally been digitally painted curl by curl, and also the shading and color variation is perfect.

Who the hell is buying three gallons of 2% milk at a time?
The lady (not, in fact, Carole Baskin) owns a petting zoo
Not sure why that meant she needed to bring them into Wal Mart, but it was definitely the highlight of my day

1 milk for the human
I gave them both pets
And then I immediately sanitized
