It's one of those things if you're a fan of the games and recognize the monsters, sort of.
They show Gore Magala, which is basically a super dragon that spreads a rage virus to other monsters. It's likely to be the final adversary in the film, there's a shot of Leeloo Dallas Multipass fighting it with dual blades, and brief blink and you'll miss it shot of its face at 1:31
edit: I'm super wrong! rewatched the trailer and yeah, it's just scenes that look like they're at/near the end *shrug*

As a grocery store checkout cashier, he watched welfare recipients talk on cell phones although the working Vance could not afford one. His resentment of those who seemed to profit from poor behavior while he struggled, especially combined with his values of personal responsibility and tough love, is presented as a microcosm of the reason for Appalachia's overall political swing from strong Democratic Party to strong Republican affiliations. Likewise, he recounts stories intended to showcase a lack of work ethic including the story of a man who quit after expressing dislike over his job's hours and posted to social media about the "Obama economy", as well as a co-worker, with a pregnant girlfriend, who would skip work.

Yeah like, I didn't interpret any of that as necessarily being the ending
Maybe it's because I have zero familiarity with the games, but it all feels like a lot of extrapolation to me

It's possible! But the our world vs their world desert settings are visually distinct, so even if there's more movie after those scenes, it's obvious where they take place.
this is what i get for asking the monkeys paw for movies taking place in Appalachia or the Oozarks that arent about meth and crime
Takes place in Ohio down the street from me. Grew up in the city next to it that's as bad or worse off and family comes from the same area of Kentucky. Shit kinda hits too close to home from me and I pretty much hated the book
are you a good terminator, a bad terminator, or are you neutral
I saw Chris Hastings make a joke about that on Twitter and I immediately assumed it was a Rude Tales reference that I hadn't caught up with yet, because it was so utterly inane.
I did a little googling on Mohawk and yeah...this sounds like it just might be awesome.
I follow Ted Geoghegan on Twitter and it seems like he went to great lengths to make it as authentic and respectful as he could. Plus, if it's half as good as We Are Still Here, you can't go wrong.

I can't speak to how acceptable or trash Mohawk might be when it comes to its subject matter, but I did watch it last October and was not a fan. It wasn't terrible, but it was in the bottom tier of the 31 horror movies I watched that month.

I think I know why this is familiar. I believe there is a particularly gruesome scene that showed up on a list of gruesome movie scenes that I was watching.

Do you know much about this movie Mohawk on Shudder?
It stars Kaniehtiio Horn and I know she is big into Native American rights so I’m assuming it’s legit but just wanted to make sure before I watch it.

Added: I know zilch about the games
Clint Howard isn't in the cast list on imdb, which to me says a lot about how bad the script for this must have been

Not nominated.
She was nominated for American Hustle
She’s also had like 6 Supporting actress nominations for different movies.
Doubt
The Fighter
Vice
I can’t remember the others.
I don't know a thing about it, sorry!
I do like Horn a whole heckuva lot, though
That’s one of the nominations I forgot!
