Your Heart Grew Three Sizes in one day, causing Cardiac Arrest
I've never bothered to learn the names of the sheets nor their proper layering
I just know the sound they make when they take a man's life

It took me 20 minutes to get inside the ship because I had to find a 2 inch button on the under side of a 130ish by 30 meter ship hull. It was not simple. There’s no instructions how to do it. Not a great intro for having a free weekend.

I am always confused about "comforter" vs "duvet" and "duvet cover"
I've got on my bed a
fitted sheet
top sheet
and a comforter?
A duvet cover is like a pillow case for a duvet, which is a comforter designed to have a duvet cover on it. I like them because it's easy to wash them separately without having to wash the comforter and I can have a down comforter that never gets dirty. You can also change out the duvet cover from time to time without having to change the actual comforter.
I also use a top sheet but maybe that's not necessary.

There is some overlap of terms and vagueness is usage, but
A duvet is a big, flat, square bag with an insulated filling (cotton / poly blend / feathers). It may or may not have internal stitching so it keeps a blanket-like-shape. It may or may not be washable. It's usually p expensive for a good one. Its outside may or may not be pleasant for use directly in contact with your skin (might be rough, or insufficient to stop poking of feather quills).
A duvet cover is a washable, soft, replaceable sleeve or wrapping for duvet, to convert it into something that keeps the shape of a blanket and makes it suitable for use as bedding. A duvet + cover is often used without a top sheet, simplifying the bedding to fitted sheet and single blanket.
A comforter is an all-in-one thick blanket that usually cannot be disassembled, and often not intended for direct skin contact, necessitating the use of a top sheet.

Do the people making comforters think we all lie perfectly motionless and all make our beds and all assiduously and carefully go to sleep sober every night? They should be regulated or banned
Also, why would they diabolically call it a top sheet when it is supposed to go on the bottom

Eddy you are just lucky that elastic fitted sheets exist. Imagine needing to use a square, non-fitted sheet to giftwrap your mattress, and fixing that every day.
Well, the poor have to fix it every day. The wealthy have servants to make their beds, they don't have to use straw mattresses, and they don't even need to redo the bottom sheet all that often because they can afford tight weave sheets that can be mechanically tensioned with straps under the mattress. Straps that would shred your fuzzy, burlap peasant sheets.

the top sheet goes on top of you, and on top of the fitted sheet

You can use two bottom sheets but then it takes forever to make the bed because neither will initiate.

I just went down a linen duvet hunt rabbit hole and let me tell you the linen sheet internet is a weird place.
In the end it came down to Rough Linen (better, probably and more expensive) or West Elm (not as good, a little cheaper).
Then I realized I can use Amex points on West Elm AND they also have the 25% point bonus for gift card thing going on and that's that.
I'm thinking of downsizing to a twin mattress, who's with me? What's the other half even good for? If someone sleeps over they're either already sleeping under me after I pass out while making love, as is healthy and normal, or on the couch
The other half is for stuffed animals, ipads, extra pillows, etc.
I cannot possibly ever go below a full size bed, and I would really like a queen, or preferably a king, once I move.

Ideally I would like to sleep in a coffin (with a lil slot on the inside of the lid so I could look at a device) because that seems like it solves several problems at once (space issues, body disposal, and when the lid is closed during the day it can be an extra surface)
At the very least I'd like to have one just as a joke

Some context for that semi-viral tweet (well, at least in poetry twitter, which all of you are undoubtedly knuckle-deep in)
A surprisingly beautiful and poignant painting, given that it looks like it was drawn by someone with little training (although with the surrealists who knows what their intent was)

hey hey hey hey hey.
I can't decide whether to learn more unity or try to make a decenter jingle for games makeing.
i'm so bored with games that i've decided to make one
If I trust anyone in the world to make a good game right off the bat without any experience, it would be Guillermo del Toro, but you would be on the list
In the sense that all non-exhaustive lists technically include all humans. But I'll call you if I ever need a game that centers around a neurotic-level obsession with timing a parry, forever

Focus brings progress, distraction makes you a bard, and nobody likes us.

What's a decenter jingle?
I once got angry at games and then made one.
But now I'm not angry anymore so I am kind of neglecting my players.
a jingle that's more decent than the current one i have for my splash.
