I'd rather get Fuser on Steam because somehow, Epic still doesn't have a cart on their store. So I'd have to buy each individual DLC song separately unless I get the packs, which has skins I don't care about.
The community did some sleuthing, and it was seemingly confirmed because Xbox still uploaded the song (but unbuyable)
It has the album art from the original Sony label release, but the version of the song they licensed is Denver's re-record from 1997, from Denver's label.
I guess Fuser's Twitter isn't as informative as the Rock Band Twitter, but it looks like they added that Murder She Wrote song and Livin La Vida Loca as DLC.
Vice has an incredibly long but fascinating oral history on the making of the first Guitar Hero. Two tiny companies (Harmonix and Red Octane) putting together a game that really shouldn't have worked but did, spectacularly. It's full of interesting details, like the Red Octane guys literally mortgaging their houses to pay for guitar inventory, and then everyone at the company working for a week solid to repackage guitars as they received them from China.
You'll also hear a bunch of Harmonix folks give their take on Guitar Hero 3, and then hear everyone bitch about Activision.

The Harmonix CEO was quite diplomatic in how he said "screw you Activision"

This was a great read, thank you for sharing!
Also it makes me smile that despite the potential for animosity between Harmonix and RedOctane the consensus seems to be "Fuck Activision".
Country Roads sounds like it's the original release now according to the video preview.. so a double swerve of 'oops wrong album art' into 'actually now it was the wrong audio' ??
"Take Me Home, Country Roads" by John Denver is now available as DLC for everyone.
PlayStation players - if you bought the song before it was pulled, follow these steps to restore your license to gain access to the correct version: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/games/restore-licences-playstation/
Megadeth's "Fatal Illusion" release on Xbox will be delayed due to an unforeseen technical difficulty. We're working with our friends at Xbox to release the content as soon as possible.

They don't have the license for the Sony album art/version, and cert is on vacation, hence why they can't just swap the art and get it right back up.
(the wrong art is this cover: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poems,_Prayers_&_Promises )
edit: tbh i think it's actually funny but just another example of 'music licensing is hard'
wow. that's a song 20 year old me would've enjoyed a lot. also quite a deep cut from Blink.
holy shit this is like 20 years too late! But just those 2 singles are probably the most iconic NFG singles ever.

After the Burial and AJR?
That's, uh, certainly a mix.
There's another song off my can't-pass list for Brutal (had to replace the audio due to twitch mute)
