Uno... Anus? They're giving them selves enemas while playing uno? Man I'm getting too old for the grumps I think.
Markiplier and Crank and a lady YTer who's name I cannot recall had a project they did for a year called Unus Annus (latin for one year) where at the end of the year, they would delete the channel and all of the videos at the end, which they did, despite folks assuming they wouldn't.
Ah. But that didn't require them to stick things up their ass right?
Come on now, when have the grumps ever played a game because its popular for the views, and then immediately dropped it after a handful of episodes? Cough subnautica. Cough Zomboid.
You... guys saw they did like 200 episodes of Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3, right? Really weird energy to suggest Arin is a fake Souls fan.
I think BloodySloth means we want to see him kill the boss. Not that he's moving on from Elden Ring. He fought Margitt like 3 times and then nopes out back to Caelid (which is a horrible idea).
Getting more levels or summons is not a horrible idea. Fighting the same boss for 2 hours and getting 2000 comments about "throwing" is a terrible idea.

Apparently Arin will be boxing Epic Meal Time as a part of the Idubbz Creator Clash boxing event for charity.

Oh yeah, I saw that a few days ago on her channel and forgot to post it It's so good
Hands down the one she did for Zelda's diary in BotW is probably my favorite GG Animated. (though that fever dream of amazing improv from the Grumps certainly helped)
I bought Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon because Arin recommended it so thoroughly... And I think I'm the dumbest. I can't beat the first non tutorial level lol
Surprisingly I never bought it. I love Shovel Knight and was waiting for Pocket Dungeon but just never got there. I'll have to pick it up after I'm finished Elden Ring.
What's the context for the Game Grumps intro being different now and having "Fatality" at the end? Was this an April Fools thing they just kept around.
Also, regarding Danganronpa, it just now hit me how the murders are more or less realistic but the executions are ridiculously over the top and fantastical. I wonder if there's some deeper meaning for that or not.

Been wondering that as well. I figured it was just a weird thing they were doing.
And I dunno, I think it's just the series being weird :P
I will say, when you know some big thing about this game before the reveal, you become painfully aware of how much the game communicates it to you.
It’s actually really clever writing, all the actual bad writing, bad translations, and cheesy prose aside.
Oh, there's one upcoming reveal that upon multiple re-watchings is *amazingly* setup since the start. Like, you catch so many little things that you don't notice the first time through, but in context with the reveal take on a whole new dimension. Every time I watch through this game I catch new things that are like "Ohhhh, that's funny they said that knowing what I know." (I'll elaborate more after the trial is over and it's not a big spoiler )

Yeah, there's some moments and cases of the series that I think are really, really well imagined and written. But having said that, you can't just ignore the many, many moments that are very poorly written. Hell, the translation of DGR2 in particular has an absolute ton of mistakes.
I wouldn't say it's the translation. The translation/localization is actually pretty great. It's the proof-reading. The game is just riddled with unacceptable typos. I'm honestly shocked they haven't corrected any of them in the many ports/etc they've done (haven't played on Switch but I assume they're all there too). Especially when this is a game that could easily just be patched to fix that stuff if they wanted (not like this is on some old format where you can't patch things). I believe Danganronpa 2 is the worst of it, but all three games have typos like this. The most offensive ones I find are when they list the wrong speaker in the dialog box (like it's clear someone else is saying the line but it will write Hajime there)

I'm fairly certain this was spoiled for me as well.
What's keeping me going is how it's going to go down (the details in game AND their reaction) on their playthrough like 2 weeks from now, since I'm pretty sure we won't get to it next week
Yeah, it's hard to say if they're going to make it through the whole trial this coming weekend. Two episodes might be enough but it might take three. I guess it depends on how long they wanna go with each episode.
Anyone else get slightly annoyed the more they called the sour cream onions? Like they read the conversation where it said exactly what they were catching, but immediately called it onions and continuously did so from there. I’m willing to bet they never catch it either.
Sour cream and onion chips are an extremely popular flavor in NA, their brains might be doing a thing.

Dang, they didn't get through the whole trial this weekend. One more episode then :P At least they got to most of the super nuts stuff
Aw. My guess is that he realized that he didn’t quite have the knowledge/experience/skill to bulldoze the game like he wanted to, and the time and effort needed to fix that issue aren’t in the cards for him.

Ah it sounds like we aren't going to see the full Elden Ring playthrough. Arin said he's going to call it at Radahn. I mean I guess I see the point but they've been playing Danganropa 2 for an eternity so I'm not sure why it's a problem for ER.
It might be a viewership thing, if the episodes are not getting the views they wanted (I have no idea how well they're doing :P)
(I'll be perfectly honest, I haven't been watching them myself... for whatever reason I seem to be the only person on the planet with little interest in Elden Ring)

Not that anyone asked, but here's my take on the candy tier list they did today (spoiled for image size):
To be fair, about half of my "idk what these are" are candies I know of, but either never tried or I'm pretty sure I've had them but don't remember what they are like at all.
I'll be honest, recently I've mostly been watching their Danganronpa 2 episodes (also Taco Tom 2 because WTF).
EDIT: Dan is losing his mind in these last few Danganronpa 2 episodes. It's glorious.
EDIT 2: I decided to listen to the Ghost Hunters Adventure Club audio book they put up on the channel. I gotta admit that the ending of chapter one caught me off guard.
The recent twist in DR2 is interesting but it's also driving me a little crazy
Nagito 100% committed suicide. Just because someone else threw the grenade with the poison in it, he put it there and set it up so that it would happen. The logic in the Peko Peko murder laid out that a person can kill and still not be the Blackened because they were a tool, a weapon, of the real killer. Peko was only executed because Fuyuhiko admitted that he didn't order her to kill. It's clear that none of the living people knew that they'd be throwing poison, so Chiaki wasn't a murderer. Just getting annoyed that the game isn't following its own logic. I could be missing something, but Nagito was the killer in that case (similar to Sakura in DR1).

I was googling around to find out what the weight disparity was for that and jesus harold christ Arin you champ
(Also, it's all for a good charity time but still, might have been more interesting if the weight and height disparity wasn't so ridiculous)
Holy shit WTF their ridiculous hand theory was kind of right???

I heard scuttlebutt that Arin was put in because a bunch of other people that were a much closer height/weight were originally billed but had to pull out for various reasons. Dunno how true that is though. All the comments gassing up Harley's training kind of seems funny to me in that the whole thing was so lopsided I don't think intensive boxing training would have made much of a difference anyway

I mean they both looked fine, but Harley is just bigger and taller. The thing Arin had going for him was speed, but when you both gas out in round 2, yeah Harley is gonna win. I also heard that Arin joined later and didn't train as much, but again the size speaks for itself. You can only train so much for that.

Ah, it's that time when DR2 just goes completely off the rails for the rest of the game :P Fun times incoming Still, Dan's reactions in the last few episodes were just priceless.
I went back and started watching the first Danganronpa playthrough. It's hard to believe that just about a year or so ago they had no idea what Danganronpa was at all.
Arin: "It's 7:10 AM. The ultimate time!"
Danny: "You remember like ten minutes ago when a teddy bear shot a man into space?"
Necco wafers are straight garbage. They must have had them confused with something else.
How actually dare you

I was sad they quit where they did. There is some good stuff coming up Oh well, next weekend.
Also love Arin's propensity to be both right and wrong about something at the same time
He said "aren't we the remnants of despair?" which, yes, but I'm pretty sure based on the context in which he said it, his brain wasn't processing what that actually meant because he thought Junko's followers had a different name.
Also, he said "If it's a virtual world, everyone is just alive then" which, technically yes and technically no? :P In the context of this game, no, if you die in the Matrix you die in real life :P But also technically yes because the Danganronpa 3 anime
totally revived literally everyone and un-did all the deaths in this game (the ending of this game hints that this is possible but the chances are low). Except for Chiaki of course because she was an AI
(imbedded spoilers ftw)
BTW, that anime is fun if you enjoy this series. It's basically a sequel to DR2 (Future Arc) + prequel to DR1 (Despair Arc). Recommend watching the episodes alternating (even though literally no one presents them this way for some reason) - Future Arc, then Despair Arc, then Future, etc. This is how it originally aired in Japan and despite both arcs taking place at different time periods the episodes complement each other when watched this way. The anime is also why Danganronpa v3 is called v3 and not just 3 :P (among other reasons ). God I can't wait for them to get to that game.

I feel like my favorite application of the grumps are to these mostly-VN-but-a-little-extra type of games.
I'd really love to see them do the 999/VLR/ZTD series after the Daganronpa games.
Edit - Also enjoying the S2 opener of 10MPH.
"Wait... no swearing? Can I say 'come'?"

Now time for one of the best trials. Can't wait to see their reactions to who the murderer is.

Mad props to Arin for even getting in the ring.
Then someone eased his mind a bit saying to respect the ref's decision to end it. They know when it's time to stop:
Arin: "It's 7:10 AM. The ultimate time!"
Danny: "You remember like ten minutes ago when a teddy bear shot a man into space?"
