They definitely do just plop you there at a point where it feels like the game should be done, though. the gun can only penetrate in rather specific spots at specific angles at rather close ranges

they were also facing the super outdated iraqi tank force
all invasion of iraq numbers will mostly just be about how often you can refuel and rearm the planes :P
edit: but also I am reading about the test and design about it - why not, military documentation is an underappreciated genre - and well seems the target to aim for is side, rear and turret armor - mainly because, well, you have to dive to hit the top properly, or like, to try specifically for that, and the A-10 doesn't really do that
