The Sen no Kiseki anime has turned the corner and the third episode was uh...
We need you to infiltrate this party of rich people at a museum.
...This is boring. I'm leaving to go get ice cream, be attacked by rapists, and watch a clown put on a show for children.
Clown: "HA HA HA HA HA! I AM THE AVATAR OF VENGEANCE! GO MY ARMY OF PEOPLE IN CAT COSTUMES AND BOMB THE CITY WITH FIREWORKS WHILE I RIDE A BLIMP THROUGH DOWNTOWN TO THE PARTY TO DESTROY THE BOURGEOISIE!"
I will stop you with pro-wrestling moves only.
Congratulations! You have saved the day and get your pick of the finest jewelry here as your reward.
Unless this is how the games are. I don't know. I feel like I would've heard about it if so.

Oops, let me sidequest while the world is doomed happens, sure. It's a JRPG. They generally keep the silly and serious divided though (aside from one recurring villain who mostly just wants to mess with the protagonists).
I meant more about the crazed clown running an Adam West Batman scheme.
Phantom Thief B's appearances are, generally, of the form of an impossible theft of something really valuable and then he leaves a trail of riddles to get it back. Usually this ends with him messing with you some more for good measure. But that's about the limit of it? Villains in Trails tend to otherwise be more serious. (getting comically flustered, etc? Sure, that happens, but their evil plans are usually more practical.)
I had a feeling. No, while the games would absolutely do that kind of motivation, it would be a much more normal plot. The villain may have a sympathetic backstory and/or personality quirks played for laughs. They will not be a literal clown.

So I am rewatching Re Zero S2 because of this and because I'm sick and I am noticing some things
Roswaal is in bandages from the start to hide the magical contract he carved into his skin, he was just waiting for subaru to get frustrated and try to bind him.
Roswaal killing Rom/Garf isn't as cold blooded as I once thought. Or maybe it's more: He realizes that this timeline is a wash and he doesn't want to waste time before the rabbits come to talk with Subaru, so he just fucking kills them both to shut them up.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

I still get chills during:
The fight between Garf and Elsa.

Holy shit it was so good. This was THE moment when I was reading the manga when I sat up and realized that this is one of the best manga being serialized today. Still probably my 2nd favorite moment in the series to date.
For someone who did read the manga, but doesn't really watch anime, what moment are we talking here?
Iruma manga spoilers:
During the harvest festival, when Clara gets cursed by Orobas and sees an illusion of Iruma asking for juice in exchange for staying friends with her, which utterly crushes her spirit and fills her with self-doubt about whether people actually can like her and care for her.
Actual Iruma hears about her danger and fears for her, Crocell offers her aid (in exchange for a favor later), Lead desperately levels up his ability to find Clara, and Iruma overcomes his self-doubt in order to save Clara from a great distance with his bow ("My arrows do not miss" and "I'm so glad I'm an archer, Master).
Then the actual catharsis when Clara sees the real Iruma and he comforts her is so immensely heartwarming.
Finally Orobos shows up and Iruma hides Clara behind him to protect her, except wait, Asmodeus shows up to beat up Orobas (but gets disqualified).
Asmodeus has to retire because he broke the rules, but before he retires, he leaves Orobas with the most badass boast: "If you even think about touching my friends, I will fly here from the stands and burn your head off."
Just, Jesus Christ, so much character growth and character moments in such a dense span of time.

I still have a Sogeking fanart as my wallpaper and it's almost 10 years since I've cared about One Piece.
One piece is even more good now than water 7!
I'm willing to believe that it's good, but I really disliked a lot of the timeskip and post timeskip stuff (and many of the character redesigns) and there's just so dang much of it. I'm still holding out for an abridged version that makes it something I'm ready to hop back in to.
It definitely took a dip around the time skip and took a bit to get back into form (and I suspect it's a lot better reading all at once) but once it did, it's firing on all cylinders right now.
The Fishman Island to Dressrosa stretch was real rough, but the arcs after that are pretty great imo.

Have not been following the thread because I am behind on both chainsaw man and g witch, but tonight my bro and I watched the first 3 episodes of Trugun Stampede.
Holy Fuck, y'all. That was almost a religious experience. Just... Jaw on the floor. Familiar beats, but such a wild interpretation.
I feel like I'm gonna be gushing about this for a while.

Let's Play Final Fantasy 'II' (Ch10 - 5/17/10)
It's definitely a little more lively than last season

They're doing a bunch of animation style shift gags.

honest opinion you should be watching the original Trigun regardless
Like there are beats that are the same, but I don't need them to just do the thing again
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHhOn2hnqmI
And also watch Badlands Rumble after you watch the original. It is an extremely good Trigun movie.
I wonder how hard it is on a voice actor to artificially make yourself sound hoarse like that.
