I feel like quest priest just hard loses to bomblock, unwinnable matchup unless you manage to theotar phylactery or something
Worse than the damage is the added cards to your hand. Quest Priest operates on a curve and can't afford to have a 7-mana card milled because the Warlock gave you two Abyssal Curses the previous turn.
Catching DK up on 2022 by giving them a Colossal and a Location.
Full article (not much to it). There is one significant difference from the other mini-sets. You can buy the golden mini-set with gold for the first time: 10,000 gold. So that's something, I guess, for the weirdos who want to do that.

Ehhh, only really in stats and keywords. The overall effect is pretty different. Crabatoa picks off small/medium targets and lets Rogue do collateral face damage over a couple turns. Sindy (ideally) gets value by clearing out a couple big targets, and she has combo potential with other freezes to take out more (e.g., Sindy + Icy Touch lets you take out another minion for only 1 more mana).

whoever it was that predicted death knight getting a location and colossal you were right on the money

Virtually every matchup is bad for quest priest, thus the bet. The deck is hot trash that requires extremely specific draws in certain matchups that do not happen regularly.
Like, I just lost to an OTK garrote spell power rogue piloted by FunkiMonki. I literally had no idea what he was doing (it looked like concoction miracle rogue at first) and essentially could do nothing to stop the OTK.
I’m gonna to need multiple miracles to even get close to legend. This is painful.
I mean Quest Priest is almost always going to lose to any OTK combo deck because it has very little ability to pressure through minion damage. Combo decks are its worst matchup. Your only real hope in those cases is stealing/destroying a key combo card.
It generally fares well against board centric decks (aggro, midrange) and other control decks. Hitting legend with it relies on facing a lot of those and not running into combo decks.

Exactly. My friend was kind and instead changed the bet to hitting legend with a deck of my choice in 24 hours. I went frost DK….and it took 4 hours.
Edit: so now he owes me a beer, and I’ll buy him two for saving me from torture.

Frost DK is my fav archetype rn
With the meta being so minion based now, being able to go 'no fuck you I win' potentially 3+ times doing 5 to face each time is very nice

Agreed. It always cracks me up when opponents board lock themselves and then act all surprised when they can’t cast minions for multiple turns while I burn them down.
Sure, unholy DK has a discounted permanent bloodlust. Too bad you can’t attack once I hit 7 mana.

I have never seen a Common card so stuffed with good features.

My Standard Legend trip this month went pretty smoothly with Undead Priest. Brittleskin Zombie is IMO the weakest card in the deck, and I considered replacing it with Mind Eater, but ultimately I got Legend before I got around to it. There were a lot of easy wins when my opponents didn’t understand that trading is generally very, very bad against this deck, and a lot of fun and tense games where they raced me. Also, the Xyrella pop off can be a ton of fun, given the amount of three-damage-to-face Deathrattles it can trigger.

I hope Shadowstep gets thrown into the fucking sun at rotation, holy shit do I hate that card.
Every Tess thief rogue is getting the nuts off jackpot against me. What’s that? You got frost armor, the shaman deal 10 aoe, and the mage make two 5/6’s? And you get to cast them, along with my DH hero card and Rogue hero card over and over for damn near infinite armor and taunt walls because you can play Tess 4+ turns in a row due to shadow step?
I did 92 damage to face that game, they ended the match with 32 armor and 7 health.
At least to me, this feels worse than casino mage ever was.
Maybe this washes out some of the salt. Past three games, my jackpots and concoctions netted me a combination of iceblood towers, the demon resurrecting and summoning spells, and most hilariously, multiple relic vaults in the same game without generating a relic.
At least casino mage’s spells are forced to target the enemy. Jackpot rogue is very much a bad deck, the random RNG blessing aside.
Edit: unfortunately, none to the decks I actually have the cards for are good in the current meta. So I’m trying to ride my luck to legend, but it’s a frustrating ride so far.
I appreciated hearing everyone anecdotes from playing thief rogue. Made me feel better.
Right up until the last one that got 2x Rodents Nest + Rodents of Unusual Size, perfectly countering my imps and completely blocking my curses by stuffing his hand full of 1 cost 5/5’s
Rapid Reanimation
[0 Gold] Choose a friendly minion. Start of Combat: Destroy it. Once you have space, resummon an exact copy.
Teron Gorefiend will be guaranteed in every lobby for two weeks after his launch. Except that, during this initial period and going forward, Teron Gorefiend will not be offered in any lobbies in which neither Undead nor Beasts are in that game’s minion pool.
Other small but interesting/good BG changes:
You can now see how many cards your opponent has in their hand during combat.
Drek’Thar, Greybough, N’Zoth, Onyxia, The Jailer, and Vanndar will now only be offered in games where at least one of Beasts, Demons, Mechs, or Undead are in the minion pool.
Edit: Oh, and arena season ends tomorrow, so park a run for a free ticket.

Overall this seems like a nerf to Rune of the Archmage, but there will be some new silly highrolls with this thing. Definite Trolden fodder.
Druid getting a card that requires Guff to be useful. Weird. And Guff rotates in 2 months, which seems extra weird, but that just makes me think we're going to see some new card with a mana cap increasing effect...

Lol, it was just way too inconsistent to actually hit legend. The loss of gnoll made the aggro matchup too unfavorable.
Mine is somewhat similar but I dropped the undead package for more mass removal.

That Dragon is busted, but the requirement makes it less busted

Prepare to see it used in a four card infinite combo that can win the game as early as T2 with coin.
