Your cat lies on her back, her belly baking in the hot sun while she tries to catch her tail. She could catch it if you helped her, but you're not. Why aren't you helping her?

Mostly, jealousy that nobody looks twice at the cat laying belly up in a hot sunbeam all day, every day. But I try to do it just once and all of a sudden I've got letters begging me to close my windows and the police showing up at my door.
Stupid cat. Doesn't even have a job...

I just pictured "White and Nerdy" in my head, only Weird Al was done up in his Amish suit from Amish Paradise.

I mean technically sandshrew/sandslash are directly based on pangolins but it's pretty easily to imagine that whoever came up with their concepts definitely stumbled on that armadillo at some point during their research

    crushed car

yeah when I was younger my grandpa liked to complain about how all these modern plastic cars are so unsafe, not like those old metal monstrosities from the 50s and 60s

I was just a kid so I didn't know shit from shit, but stuff like this makes it clear that for as experienced and knowledgeable my gramps was (and he really was) everyone is capable of talking out their ass from time to time

It's always interesting when someone manages to jump their car out of the third or fourth floor of a parking garage with no serious injuries, and at first it seems incredible that the car could protect them from that. But if you do the math it turns out that they basically ran into the ground at the kind of infuriatingly slow speed you have to limit yourself to when you hit a school zone, and it turns out cars are just wicked good at protecting passengers from impacts these days.
