Says a lot about my interests when the part I have been the most sad about missing not being at GDQ this event was when I heard about the upcoming science talk

Not exactly an auspicious start to the science block with this AC issue. Good thing they were able to stay on schedule so well. Hopefully this doesn't cause too much of an issue.

MTs are 100% piloted by people.

You even hear them scream in the first two missions.

Loving this Mario Maker 2 showcase, more people need to see the wild stuff people have figured out in this game.

They didn't demonstrate it, but that glitch in the screenshots above also allow you to play for a brief period after finishing a level, and it leads to some other very weird interactions because some objects stop working while some still do.

10:28 in this video was the first time I ever saw it, and DGR has a bunch of other videos featuring it with different "playgrounds" to play with after level ends.

Undertale is just not a particularly fun game to watch.

I’ll give the players credit though. The commentary is making it decent.

The approximately 57 Let's Plays I've watched of Undertale say otherwise. I also donated during it, but I don't think they read my awful couch pun. I might have missed it, though.

I do enjoy this glitchless run more than the ones that are just 90% Punch Cards by the end, too.

You know what? Nanowrimo's cancelled on account of the world is stupid.

The run itself isn't much yeah. But those are two good people doing it so it was worth it for them alone. The methods used in the run are actually kind of neat if you know how the game works. Considering due to gaster people know the games code inside and out, well

I also find it odd that NMG includes going out of bounds. It seems to include everything except arbitrary code execution

Yeah, there's some significant glitches, just not the utterly nonsense memory manipulation/ACE stuff that reduces 100% on OoT and MM to just making the game give you everything by repeating a glitch over and over.

Major glitches can sometimes be an odd line as to what does and doesn't count, but at the very least those two glitches are clearly a category of their own.

I think it's a testament to how broken the N64 Zelda games are that going out of bounds, wrong-warping, and item duplication glitches aren't considered "major" glitches

These are games so broken that the fastest way to beat Paper Mario is to fuck around in Ocarina of Time for 30 minutes and then switch over to Paper Mario

I think it's really fun to see how much work people have put into utterly taking these games apart

it's just enough to make you have to play the game haha. with ace the category is probably just suddenly you win.

The finale FF5 run was hectic, he messed up his routing somewhere and got stuck on a boss much later, took a while but managed to find a way to get through the fight with good enough RNG.

The BG3 run is absolutely hilarious. Only really spoils the main bosses and a few recruitable characters.

They skip basically all of act 1 by putting shadowheart into a box, setting the box on fire, and then launching it to narnia
