If you are using a MSN, Outlook, or Hotmail address there is something borked there. Changing it to a different email (in your profile options) that isn't one of them will fix it.

I've had another report of something similar. Normally I'd say PM me your email address and I'll get you settled, but seeing as the pa forum is... under duress???, please send an email to support@coin-return.org with:
    • your username
    • your email

    Done

You should be all set now. Created your account, sent you a password reset.

    Got it, all set. Hooray!

Can you set it back once confirmed? I wouldn’t still have an @hotmail address if I was good at managing change!

I didn't get the verification email and I don't see a way to re-send it. When I log in I see a banner that says "Your account is currently awaiting approval by an administrator. You will receive an email when a decision has been taken." It's been that way since I registered, which was a bit over an hour ago.

edit: Looks like it's been sorted out. Thank you!

If you're waiting on your confirmation email, try resending now and you should get it.

Tried resending just now and still no joy.

If you're on a microsoft email service (hotmail, msn, outlook), we're currently having issues between them and out mail sender service. Trying to sort it, but if you have a non-microsoft email account you could switch it to, that should work.

Otherwise you can email support@coin-return.org with your forum name, email address, and PIN and Delz should be able to manually verify you.

Edit: missed there was another page.

Yes, you can set it back after you confirm your account if you change your email.

Hoorah I'm in! But changing my email back to my hipster antique hotmail puts me back into the confirmation system and locks me back out :(

Ah well, at least I'm in even if it's not the ideal.

The most common user error is using a PIN that is not exactly 6 characters. Are you sure you have a 6 character PIN?

The other thing to check - if you are trying to send a new (6 digit pin) make absolutely sure you start a NEW conversation with the bot. It doesn’t recognize additional replies to the initial message.

Also wait 10 minutes after sending before trying to register on CoRe

TiL that something feeling like 6 digits doesn't really carry much weight with a cold blooded machine

I have a gmail account but have not received an email about registration. I did, however, receive an email about the vote for the new forums. When I have tried to register, it doesn't do anything when I hit the register button with all the details included.

The PIN system doesn't send emails, the voting system is piggybacking on it and does send PMs. So if you got an email about the board vote, you definitely have a valid PIN. Shoot me a PM with your email address and PIN and I'll get you set up.

I see the errors in the logs. Definitely your username causing some trouble with the PA sync. PM me your email and PIN and I'll get your account created, but it won't have your profile data until I can debug and fix the sync.

@Dibbit should we put the May 20th closing date in this OP? The exit sign takes people straight here but I didn't see the deadline anywhere

Done, also added a Tolkien qoute because it's classy but also a bit tired and predictable. There's symbolism or something.

I just want to clarify. I didn't want to use this username in the new place because I've been using Span_Wolf almost as long as The_Spaniard and it's what I have been registering with everywhere for probably the last 2 decades. I thought the sync thing was just to lock in usernames, since I didn't want to have the same username I just went and created a new account. Now someone mentioned to me that the sync also ports over stats and such. I don't want to lose 20+ years of stats from PA, so can I still sync the two accounts?

I think so? I created the Hahnsoo account on Coin Return, and was able to sync all of my Hahnsoo1 information from here. You just need to grab a Legacy PIN using the above process and specify that your legacy username on PA was The_Spaniard when you put in your Legacy PIN, I think. Also, The_Spaniard account needs to be public (not private) when you do this procedure.

I was able to do it by just plugging the pin into my new account even with a different username.
