Through all the chaos, Barbossa sneaks away to a quiet part of the ship for a moment before reaching the storm. He takes a bite of his apple before pulling out his pistol. He takes a bullet out of a pouch and loads the gun

Just when the daily postcount had slowed to a point where I could actually follow all the day's goings-on. Ah well.

Day 8 - Unfavorable Conditions
All through the day and night, the winds howled, and the seas crashed, as if every force of nature was intent on sending The Phalliant beneath the surface.
"She'll hold together!", Captain Belruel yelled over the howl of the winds, while keeping the wheel. Just where was that sorry excuse for a lieutenant, anyway?
The crew were mostly occupied in keeping what they could intact; mostly maintaining the composure of the sails, which still kept the craft moving towards its destination, even though few could really say just what that was.
moleface smiled from the end of the deck, watching the violent ocean without a care in the world. The ship would be his; it would only be a matter of removing a few choice obstacles.
For the time being, he savored the atmosphere, and the taste of a single apple. Always struck him as funny that the average sailor totally lost it when it came to a spot of bad weather.
On impulse, he spun with his gun at the ready, reacting to a distinct creak in the planks behind him.
There was nothing, only a gathering of sailors too engrossed in their tasks to pay the single sailor any mind.
The tall man laughed at his error, though the sound caught in his throat, as did a shard of apple, as a tendril slid from out of the water, taking the man by the throat. He tried to bring his pistol about, but it was too late.
moleface was pulled from the deck without sight of sound remaining of his presence, save the single apple that fell from his hand, which rolled along the deck, abandoned.

As per the frequent rotation of the guard, tehcoolryan was left in charge of the brig.
The idea made no sense, seeing as all the prisoners hadn't been fed or given water in days, so there was nothing left but their decaying remains.
Still, he counted it as a blessing, since it was far preferable to being above with the storm.
ryan kicked back in his chair, bracing it against a wall with the steady rocking of the boat, arms crossed as his eyes closed. No one would notice if he caught a wink or two.
Had he known it would be the last time, ryan might have stayed awake. The handle end of a rifle was driven into his throat, ending the guard's brief tenure instantly.
Though they would do him no good at the moment, the man reached down and took the keys, attaching them to his uniform belt with a shrug. Maybe they'd come in handy.

It seemed to Crono729 that his luck must have changed for the better. He caught the apple as it fell from the deck above into his hand. Maybe guarding the armory finally had paid off.
At a glance, Crono realized it had been bitten before, but there was plenty left.
The sailor took a bite, with a polite nod to the passing man and his rifle. It seemed odd that a sailor was dressed so formally, though Crono passed it off as it being just how some sailors liked to serve.
Before another bite of the fruit could be taken, a resonant clang sounded throughout the lower levels from the shovel which struck the back of his head, crushing his skull in one blow.
The apple was again lost.

"That's suicide!" cheez yelled over the wind, arms crossed in steadfast defiance. "You've lost yer mind if you think I'll be guardin' the mast in the weather."
"Suit yourself." Without waiting for further explanation, Belruel turned to the nearest crewman, while a retrieved pistol was directed off to the side, firing off a round between cheez's eyes, killing the man instantly.
The Captain didn't need to ask; Dogbone33 was already climbing his way to the mast before cheez's body had managed to hit the ground.
Once Dogbone had reached his position, he gradually adjusted. Maybe it wouldn't be such a bad assignment after all. Besides the wind that threatened to send him to his death, and the occasional bolt of lightning, at least.
It was from that vantage point that the crewman was made even more aware of his good luck, as he witnessed a single bolt find its way through the sky, electrocuting Fembot an instant later.
the wook looked over once the thunder had ceased, realizing the sailor he had been escorting to the plank was dead.
Taking full advantage of the situation, the wook tossed the lifeless corpse over the plank and into the seas.
The thunder roared in response, suggesting the seas were far from having claimed their fill.
Rane is someone I would expect to be seered thus far in the game, so I have no problem !voting for Raneados
I think maybe we shouldn't ignore the fact that mole was going to be captain, and even though he was a special he was killed... moving someone else to the captains seat (it was first mate right? wasn't rng'd? if it was rng'd my point is stupid).
i was already in the captain's seat, and i was networked with mole. i swear to you guys, i am a villager, he believed it, and even if i was offered to convert, i would take death.
i have no idea why they haven't killed me or converted me, but i am a villager.

Bel, this EXACT same thing is my situation
I thoroughly encourage you to suspect me a little bit, as I do you, because neither of us dying after this long is, honestly, a wee bit suspicious

I guess Moleface really was Barbossa
that sure was a fun exercise in futiliy
so it wasn't the mob vote?
then how come Grundl's still alive?
!grundlterror
edit - in response to green
was it a Calypso thing?
or was it just colorful narration?
I'm guessing narration flavor, because we've seen the mob vote go to second place before

Also I take it barbossa dying means we are lacking in guardians?
Steam
or the guardians are dragging their asses
nobody of the goodies got killed that we weren't aware of, right?
and Jack took a few turns to be taken out after the last good special died
I'd say we have at least one left, maybe the Mayor Swann
I'd say they just dropped the ball or they doubled up on Barbossa
