Captain Rainbow: Birdo's Sex Change Is Finally Canonical!

A few people had a good laugh at Nintendo's new patent in the "Nintendo Core Gamer" thread. Yes, they are indeed launching a new franchise entitled Captain Rainbow for the Wii.

It looks as though it's about a guy washing up on an Island populated by minor Nintendo characters. The guy can evidently transform into a superhero named Captain Rainbow, majestically wielding dual yo-yos.

And it looks like we can congratulate Birdo on her new lifestyle, as she speaks out for the first time. I don't understand what she's saying, but I'm sure she's happy which is the most important thing here.

Not much to say about the gameplay, but it looks like an RPG/brawler type thing. It is also unlikely to see a US release I would imagine.

All creature will die and all the things will be broken. That's the law of samurai.

    It bugs me to no end that Nintendo changed Birdo into a girl. Hell, the SMB 2 manual says "He thinks he's a girl." He's a transvestite, Nintendo. Embrace him!

    It took me a while to figure out what the hell I was looking at. At first I thouht it was a pink woman with some sort of hideously disfiguring tumor growing out of her neck. One that bore some resemblence to a guy's naughty parts. After it clicked in my head and I discovered the witch, it still took effort to not see the tumor/cock. It keeps pulsating.

    Rainbows are kind of in vogue in Japan right now. I have a pretty tough time getting

    Skip developed. Looks pretty nice in scans, except for Birdo.

    This game looks hilarious. I'd buy it. But I'm sure we wont be getting it... Unless they changed his name to Captain Murderface and he's black and red. Instead of yoyos they'll give him daggers.

    Naw, Birdo hasn't had a sex change. That's totally a dude doing his/her voice.

    And yeah, considering this looks at least 12% gayer than Tingle's Rose-Colored Rupee Land, there's absolutely no way in hell we're getting this.
