Hey Pants, can you drum up as short summation for those who can't watch video at work?
Its entitled on Youtube Barack Obama on Gustav: "We Rise and Fall as One Nation"
The first half is fairly standard Obama stump fair with some Labor Day union emphasis. He talks about coming together over natural disasters because we are the united states of America.
"As I stand here today and look out and look out at the 1000s of people who have gathered here today, I know out there somewhere there are some people going through their own quiet storms."
Examples: laid off workers, health care, can't afford college, inner-city lack of prospects,
"All across America, there are quiet storms taking place. There are lives of quiet desperation. People in need of just a little bit of help. Now Americans are a self reliant people.<Snip> But what we understand if every once in a while someone is going to get knocked down, someone is going to go through some hard times. When we least expect it, tragedy might strike. What has always made this country great is the understanding that we rise and fall as one nation. The values of family, and community and neighborhood, they have to express themselves in our government. Those are national values, those are values we all subscribe to. And so the spirit we extend today and in the days to come as we monitor what happens on the Gulf, thats a spirit we have to carry each and every day. Thats a spirit we need in our own homes, and its a spirit we need in the White House.
And that's why I'm running for President of the United States of America
Because If there's a poor child, that's my child! If there's a senior who is having trouble, thats my grandparent. If there's a guy who has lost his job, that's my brother! If there's a woman out there without healthcare, that's my sister!
Those are the values taht built this country. Those are the values we are fighting for!"
(paraphrased and I left out some good parts in the 2nd half, but once he got going there wasn't much for me to cut)
I'm sure the press is on the edge of their seats: Will Ron Paul be divisive at his convention and jeopardize the entire election for the Republicans? Or will he make a show of unity? Certainly the Republican primary was one of the most divisive in history, and many on both sides are still feeling bitter and angry!
So, the lobbyist Palin hired for Wasilla? Also worked with Jack Abramoff. Who McCain basically decided not to investigate, as I recall (Abramoff connected with Native American affairs, McCain chaired that committee).

Self-righteousness is incompatible with coalition building.
So yeah scare everyone of the black dude with a funny name.
That's not a republican talking point and not at all part of our strategy. Glad to see that you're already pre-hedging against a loss this year, though, maybe add a few Rolling Stone or Slate exposes on voting machines just to be on the safe side.
Barack HUSSEIN Obama.
Originally used in that context by a Democrat... your point?
someone yesterday predicted that because of the way gallup averages work, obama would reach 50 today. is it possible to guess at whether he will go up or down in tomorrow's polls?

Recycling attacks doesn't make them your attacks as well now?
Interesting. By that logic there's no such thing as negative campaigning because it's all been done before. It's like the lazy man's "every story's been written" defense for politics.

The democrats were the party which supported the South, so they clearly still pro racism.

Well, that, plus McCain has expressed that he has zero tolerance for that kind of thing.

Pretty sure that was Backwards.

Guess you missed the update in the article:
(Update: Tapper has a new post that indicates there’s no paper trail to prove Palin was involved with the separatist party.)
Wow, and it only took two comments before the cry of sexism began.
Haha I know the rule is "don't read the..." but that second comment is hilarious.
The Taliban was universally praised for how it was running Afghanistan before it turned down our plan of a pipeline from Iraq, through Afghanistan to Cuwait. Then they were the worst people in the world and we’ve been perpetrating genocide on them ever since.
A pipeline from Iraq to Kuwait, that goes through Afghanistan you say? Interesting!

I'm going to predict tomorrow we see things either stay the same or another point drop for McCain. Then we start seeing the convention bump.

Except then he went and did it. He expressed zero tolerance for his own actions, and zero tolerance for the actions of his campaign.

What convention bump? They basically aren't even having a convention.
And I can't see John McCain's rhetorical ability convincing many people. Especially since most will be more caught up in the NFL opening kickoff.
There is just video of her addressing one of their conferences.
Of course, this means you must donate more money to McCain.
....and records of her being a member from 1994 to 1996.....
There aren't any, the AIP doesn't keep records that long. In theory, the alaskan state government would have the voter registrations, but I don't know how long they keep them either.

Well, somebody has to pay those McCain people to actually go up to Alaska and properly vet Palin.
That's not change we can believe in. heeeeh.
You should probably throw in a history book on the founding fathers.

50, bitches.
Moose steak?
And a copy of Presidential Campaigns for Dummies
Delicious.
Booyah!
Ladies and gentlemen, we have hit 50.
You've been beaten
Guess it's safe to assume there has been no Palin bounce (net negative perhaps?).
There is no bounce....republican that is.
In the 5 years I spent as a POW, I was beaten more times than you can imagine...</McCain>
So, I don't know much about the campaign financing laws or anything - where would be a good place to go to educate myself on these kinds of things?

I think you might have just wasted 50 bucks. Aren't they about to go on public financing?

When the POW line runs out just call sexism to get out of everything. This election is going to get even zanier.

McCain used HUSSEIN in a scare-tactic way?
Can you cite please, I wasn't aware of that.
