You people are seriously putting your credit card information on a site that's pretty obviously compromised?

Here's the thing, Amazon already had all my info, in fact you can set it up to 1 click purchase through them. The site that got fucked up is a third party website that sells through Amazon.
The way that works is you pay Amazon for what you are buying, and then Amazon pays the third party when they get confirmation the item is shipped. So really there was very little risk.
I tryed to order that 52 inch one, but I was too slow on the draw, and by the time I had my credit card it was sold out or something.
Oh well, I already have a 50 inch so it really doesn't matter.
I just called them and said taters was lying, and they said they would send me the tv they were sending him and another one just because I am a cool guy.
As much as im hoping for a miracle, it would take a monumental lapse in judgment for a company to just say "eh what the hell" to a potential loss of tens of thousands of dollars.

I'm just hoping its a massive liquidation, cutting your losses, trying to get rid of the stock situation. As hopeless as that probably is.

I do hope you get one cause, you know, wins for the little guy like this only come once a bajillion years.
On the other hand, I got raised by my dad to question scenarios like this with, "is this too good to be true?". If all answers point to yes, then it probably is.
One time, while walking down the street going to work this crazy homeless guy walked by me. He stopped me with a raised hand and held out a 20 dollar note in the other. I was puzzled. Do I take it? What do I have to do? So I asked him what he wanted and he nodded at the bill again. So I shook my head and kept on walking. I remember looking back over my shoulder and he had this look of, "oh well, there goes your chance". To this day, I'm confused. Was some bum offering me 20 bucks se? Y/n?

I imagine they won't start canceling orders until Monday when people are at work again.

then they refund you all
minus a $45 restock fee
and they said yes, they probably will
just to punish you for taking advantage of them
and i'm getting a free TV out of it for my troubles
seems they don't believe me when i say you're a cool guy
but now they are sending me a second one
and i was told to brag about it to you
and rub it in
You know, I secretly want you people to get the tvs. It would make this the best topic to have been posted in this forum in quite some time
We're risk takers. Like those rich guys in 1950's Wall Street.
but also kind of happy for you
