The Controllers were shown in RotRL today, searching for their own power source, the 'orange power'. But in DC Universe #0, a single orange lantern was shown in a room saying "Don't touch that. It's mine."
In RotRL, when the Controllers talked about seizing the source, a word bubble with orange around it said "No! It's mine!" It was smaller than usual bubbles and the Controllers didn't appear to react to it, so the significance of this is not yet known.
The Controllers have been shown before looking at an orange power source or flash of light. I think it was in GLC post-SCW, but would have to go look it up to be sure. Not sure if you knew about it, but it sounded like you thought this was their first appearance for the orange side of things.
The small text is more than likely Hector Hammond, who's been linked to the whole Agent Orange thing for a while and has had the orange glow and that text used around him for a while now.
As for my moment of the week, I'm going with Rage Cat. If only we could get a Rage Cat vs Cosmo crossover. All would be right in the world.

No, I was just talking about their appearance in RotRL. The Controllers showed up looking for the orange power in an issue of GL before the whole Origins storyline, and they've been GL villains for decades before that. The search for the orange power is only their latest scheme.
Good theory with Hammond though, there might be something there. I wish I could find Universe #0 though, the orange lantern character is definately an alien.
"Volstagg the True has triumphed over-"
"The sun, eclipsed by his size-"
"-THE LIES of the enemy! Will you know declare that gold has triumped over blue that we may acknowledge the victory, acknowledge te fruits-"
"That some of us shall eat more than others."
"SILENCE! -of our labours?"
"Does this mean everyone getsan endless supply of mead?"
"It does." "HUZZAH!"
I thought JLA was a weak cop-out ending to what could've been a really cool storyline. I was sad to see them do away with the alternate timeline so quickly. It had some interesting characters, particularly the Bruce way Paladin character.
What? He was the Punisher but with a cool costume. He wasn't very interesting

Most of the alternate JLA didn't even have lines. Why even bother creating an alternate reality if you're not going to explore it.

When Krypto visited Ma Kent, my heart broke a little.
When Krypto visited Ma Kent, my heart broke a little.
That was awesome, but really the whole funeral/killing brainiac fantasy/clark in the barn sequence from the New Krypton special was so amazying.
I'd seen a preview of some of those pages and though it was just an unlettered preview, but when you actually read them in context the fact that there's not a single caption or world baloon thrhoughout any of it, it's incredibly powerful.
I'll say again that Gary Frank is the greatest Superman artist ever.

Yeah that whole thing was pretty awesome. I am not a Superman fan, but after the Action Comics run and the New Krypton stuff, I'm in for a while with Superman.
Also, this issue of Superman, the end reveal:
Doomsday! The page with all the Kryptonian's faces was so awesome

Gary Frank is really good, but sometimes the faces just look so bored. And sometimes I wish things looked a bit more bold, but those are my only two complaints about his work.

Pfft,
Doomsday's lame.
I'm just hoping all the Kryptonians beat him in the span of a page.

Yeah, I'm guessing that's what is going to happen. If they're extra predictable, the display of power will be tremendous, possibly result in some civilian injuries, and ultimately serve to foster distrust.

Yeah I agree he seems like a lame 90's dude but the overall reveal was really cool
Honestly - the James Robinson Superman run isn't doing much for me. It's not the stories so much as the dialogue - it just sounds off to me. Maybe I'm expecting "Starman" Robinson when I'm getting "Face the Face" Robinson - it's probably not fair of me to judge him based on his best work, but what else can I do?
I hope Johns and Frank stay on Action Comics for a long, long time. Also, Johns should be writing a LoSH monthly.

You're not gonna like this
but I love Frank Quitely on All Star
been rereading it this week and he's just fantastic
Was anyone else a bit disappointed by the Joker Hardcover? The art was fantastic and there were some strong moments, but I was expecting to see a whole new dimension to the character.

That was glorious.
