Idea i'm working on which im going to try and paint next week. I plotted down a fake brief for myself where i need to illustrate a picture of conan obrien which promotes his move to the tonight show. So the theme is New King of Late Night. I'll draw him on a royal throne, but instead of being a king, he'll be dressed like a queen, in barbarian clothing. Kinda f-ed up idea, but at least its more interesting than another portrait like my MJ painting.
EDIT: BTW, probably should mention, before i get called for 'cheating'. I did reference a leonardo davinci painting

i'm more concerned about that headless, legless man there, bog. Do you just sketch your guides super lightly, or do you piece your figures together bit by bit?
Well the sword dude, I sketched his guidelines in for his entire form. Then detailed him and refined things. The torso with the guns was kinda an afterthought doodle. I knew I didn't really have enough space to fit anything meaningful in.

Not that I doodle for any particular reason, but I need to branch out into scenes, singular characters on a blank space are WORTHLESSSS. That said, here are two doodles I did after playing Planescape:Torment.

I asked this girl online to draw with me, basically, we draw for 7 mins, stop, scan, send each other our doodles. We didn't do it for that long, she had to leave so we only did 2. I feel like a douche though, We've been trying to catch each other online to draw, then i just heard a friend of her's died, then we draw, now I feel like a selfish dick.
Our theme was dance.
have you ever watched that Michael Jacksons moon walker movie? That is some messed up stuff, that bad guy could barely walk in those heels.
And no, winter_combat_knight did not get me into Michael Jackson and my avatar is not based off of Michael's dance video. I like zoot suits.
I do however think you need to work on your hands, they always come off so sharp and bold. Your character is cute as a button. The little ones that you would only find on a miniature dog sweater. Ya, that cute.
