Some days I wish I could play both on the same server and tailor my characters specifically to kill Druids that take the nodes I'm after.

I do know though its pretty accepted that if a druid goes for a node you're going for if you can you attack him. If a non druid is on a node you move onto the next.
I've even attacked a druid trying to gank a node from another ally before and let the other guy have it.

oh and I use Corruption, Curse of Agony, and Siphon Life glyphs.
starting rotation: Haunt, Unstable Affliction + Immolate (always do these right after the other), Curse of Agony, Corruption, Siphon Life. Then Shadow Bolts in between refreshes. Never clip dots; especially Curse of Agony.
sweet i made some modifications to revash's spec (pushback protection is useless! i put that shit in malediction) and i pulled about 2.5k dps on the training dummy in org
i need to get it enchanted but still look how hot that thing is
i also need a better offhand than my ward of the violet citadel, but as it is, it's more SP than my old OS staff and only 1 less crit.

iirc I didn't come across anything better than that dagger from scarlet monastery until about level 50, although that would probably be different now that items that were formerly only useful for healers are good for mages too.
