Anyone have any good chair suggestions? My only requirements are < $200, and has arm rests that are preferably padded (or at least not hard plastic), as I tend to put weight on my elbows a bit when sitting.
My current chair was nice when I bought it from a business that was consolidating offices, that is until it broke and wont stay in the up position if I lean back at all.
I didn't get it at first, then I finally noticed the curved stand piece and the Apple logo.
The three thousand screws on charted paper give it away. The engineering that go into them is amazing, but repairing them is always a pain in the ass.
Man, whenever I had to open up my 2006 Macbook Pro I'd always get out an ice cube tray to store the eleventy billion screws that are in the damn thing. Even Apple's old hardware is crazy complicated.
Not exactly a workstation at the moment. But it was one before the user dropped(!) it.
o_o...
*moves the iMac closer to the center of the table*
I one time moved my macbook (that was asleep and closed) to better hold the pizza I was eating.
Children of the 80s will remember when they tried to teach us computers on the IIe we could never eat drink play or rough house in a three mile vicinity of the computers or they would freak out - they are so fragile! At home I use to take 5 1/4" floppies out of the drives while the red light was on just to be a rebel (and prove you could clearly hear a difference between when the heads were engaged and when the red light was just being stupid)
I'm gonna revive this thread, because I freaking love seeing all your weird and inspiring setups. And this has been quiet for far to long. I recently got my own apartment, so I thought I would share my new desktop.
(I may have cleaned it a little bit before I took the foto. This is also were I eat. Its the only table in the apartment )

It is? They are pretty common here.
I bought it because I needed a very durable one that doesn't break every time I spray water in my terrariums. Which is like 2 times a day.

It looks like a spraybottle you would buy at ikea.

Haha, its actually one of the few things in my apartment that is not from Ikea. I had nothing when I moved out, but after a whole day in Ikea I was good to go :P
Damn skippy. Very useful for conference calls and cooling down stressed out coworkers. You'll also note the Unicorn vs. Narwhal set on the left with fallen transformer in front.
Where does one pick up swank wall decals like that?
As hesitant as I am to share... Here's the link, what I got and some ones I haven't bought but might be of interest to PAers. There's a bunch - the overtly nerdier ones are more for kids rooms IMO
Work desk.
Yes, that is a Big Daddy, Batterang, Figureprint WoW, and a jar of jam.
Will take a picture of home soon.
Home.
The light fixture just fell of when I turned on the light and my computer is basically dead (new parts ordered with help from the computer build thread on the way). Desk from ikea.
Desktop and laptop setup in my room. New case, new mouse and mousepad since last time (Roccat Kone +, Roccat Sota).
Media pc, Xbox 360 and a few Wii's. Zelda painting on the wall ftw, and, of course, Adventure Time showing on the pc. Also Hadhafang. Looking left from the media pc, and we see...
...awesome stuff like this, every day. Sailing races, passing liners, naval ships all pass by our balcony.
And finally, the kitchen. Home of food preparation, eating of food previously prepared, and lan gaming goodness. Another desktop (and desk!) to be added very soon.
Come on people, post more! Love looking at other's setups.

No, it's Cobh, an island in Cork Harbour, which happens to be the second biggest natural harbour in the world after Sydney.

Sweet! I just got it yesterday, and I can't wait to read it. I'm a few pages in, and it seems really good so far.

Still looking for some more matching wallpapers for different resolutions.
I got bored and threw some lights behind my monitor. Music mode while talking on Skype provides hilarious results:
Wii U NNID: MegaSpooky
A shitty one at that. But yeah, let the bird out of the cage, literally.
Our office, complete with a mural that I designed/painted a couple weeks ago:
My desk area, back in the corner:

(See post #3 for reference)
I just realized that this picture that seems big in this monitor probably is incredibly small for everyone else.

He and I do utility assistance (my job in the non profit I work for). The volunteers there are part of "Franco's LIHEAP Army"
Very neat picture, is this the concept art for something? Or is just a neat futuristic city?
