Just watch as the software emulation compensates for Guitar Hero incompatabilities that the US and Japan have encountered.
It spawns a PS2 port? :P
DualShock 2 USB adapter. That was never the issue. The problem is that these adapters do not add an anlog button for your analog button-less guitar.
Sony's official adapter is on the way, but they never announced if it will fix that issue.
The USB adapters in use now were meant for a PC and as such most translate the circular axis to square. This probably doesn't blow over too well with many PS2 games.

Why would you need an analog button for the guitar?

Also, don't those USB adapters not work right with analog face buttons in games like MGS3 or whatever?
Just a heads-up, in the PS3 Mii+Achievements thread there's a bunch of leaked info about Sony's near-future plans, and it says hardware-based BC will be removed in the US and Japan by April.
As its pointed out their could be an update on or before release, but as it stands thats shocking -_-. I Don't mean to start or reignite any flame wars, and god knows theres been enough surrounding the ps3 and sonys recent shenanigans. This just feels like the final straw to break the camels back.

It initializes in the wrong state.

It also says Heavenly Sword is delayed. Bummer.
Take that with a grain of salt, though.

It was discussed a bit in:

The consensus was basically: "Yeah, it's crap. The only hope is that the 1.6 firmware might improve things".
