I would play battletech if I actually knew dudes that did. However all I have is the local store and the guys that play there are, shall we say, rather stereotypical.

I once convinced a visiting relative to a 1v1 battle, I rolled opening shot and I headshot'd his Battlemaster with a gauss round.

I got my ass handed to me by my friend the one time I used a 'mech with a gauss rifle. Every damn shot I missed, it was ridiculously horrible luck.

"Well that was fun. How about we play another round? I'll go get us a couple beers and when I get back you can tell me how it went."
Oh yeah, and money to buy the absurdly priced figures and paints
and possibly even talent to paint something that looks halfway decent.
to be fair, as a 12 year old, i painted some badass 40k iron warriors
the challenge as a novice painter is to find models, an army, etc that interest you and are competitive, but make for an easy paint/assembly
so something like the iron warriors, essentially three colors but a badass heavy weapons based chaos space marine army, really met all those criteria for me. a quick black undercoat and some easy highlighting after painting made for a good-lookin' army

I'm on unemployment. My monthly income is about 250 bucks.
get a job
be the change you want to see
I've tried. Weekly. No one is hiring within 15 miles and I don't have a car. Plus, grades are the most important thing now. If I can get the HOPE scholarship back I won't have to pay for school and I can live a little more comfortably off of loans.

our roommate is Kh Ahmed and he's Bengali
it's cool, you'll see Jamaican dudes and Israeli dudes and beautiful French girls and it's a really neat place
I go to Georgia College and State University
it's a nice little liberal arts college, should be fine for finishing up my undergrad stuff before I go up to NY for graduate school
the only thing that's kind of bothersome is it's like 80% girls and Em's at school in Texas, so that's frustrating
neither, actually

i would never want to live in a place where rent approached 100 dollars a month because its probably in the middle of nowhere or is a shithole
