The thing with elephantine is it makes me think "pertaining to elephants" rather than merely meaning big so in that sense the description throws me off
Like, elephantine feet? Sure I can imagine big stompy flat feet, but an elephantine snake less so
A bit like people using "cyclopean" to mean huge when I've always used it to mean one-eyed, because that's what it means dammit
the other option is to use Elephantine (proper noun) to not only imply a certain monstrousness, but also that it's some specific species lost to modern knowledge
i'm spending a lot of time thinking about these two words. do i regret it?

Elephantine pythons have saved the thread!
Edit: I didn't write anything yesterday. Well I did but I didn't publish it because I wasn't satisfied with it. Someone rated my stuff highly but said my endings were terrible and now I'm obsessing over endings!
well for the limitations presented to me by 'x word' challenges i choose to make the titles as long and/or informative as possible and then work with that
is it cheating? who knows.
yes, probably.

I gave up on my current story to try this. Now I have something at 14 words and I can't figure out a way to make it sound as good with 2 fewer.

Okay, two more are up for challenges' sakes (though one is dumb and doesn't really count). I'm really happy with the way my suicide-challenge entry came out.
The next one I do is going to be happy and silly, because this growing pattern is decidedly morbid.

I really should get back into this but I'm not quite feeling any ideas
I can live with that
in fact, that's how I live most days
Unless the pythons are actually elephant-python hybrids in which case you have my endorsement.
Opinions! As always... I got 'em.
"Sandra has a good solid anti-murderer vibe. My skin felt very secure and sufficiently attached to my body when I met her. Also my organs." HAIL SATAN
ah, fuck it! you only live once!
Also t bsjezz: I would shy away from that phrase, since 'elephantine' implies a sort of lumbering bulk which snakes don't really have.
not exactly spry and dainty
edit: i've realized this is way too context dependent, so without wanting to give anything away - you'll have to wait for sunday!
