I just wouldn't care about the GPR if it was an uncommon. As a rare its existence offended me every time I opened up a Spectre or Jumbo Spectre pack and I saw it there

I unlocked the Scorpion on my last game of the night
wondering what class that would go well with
Curly's said he's had good luck with it and the Asari Vanguard. Basically would freeze a dude in place, fart grenades all over the target, then charge said target.

Scorpion can be really nice for classes that can't stay out of cover for long, like maybe an asari adept with pistol weight reduction and not much fitness. No need to stand up for 10 seconds blazing away, just stand, pop pop, back down.
I've also heard it can set up tech bursts?
EDIT: Or maybe I'm just thinking of the arc pistol?

Just got out of a pub silver match with a salarian infiltrator who was constantly running away and dying. Voice chat was quiet as usual. On extraction, he runs to the other side of the map and dies with over a minute remaining. I work my way towards him to pick him up again.
Suddenly, the voice chat lights up. One guy keeps saying "let him die, let him die" while the dying guy screams "fuck you" over and over. In the end, he disconnected just when I had reached him.
Is the recycler the thing that gives each shot a whatever percent chance of not using up the thermal clip
Wait, is it actually called that? Because people have referred to it but it's called a heat sink in my game.
Yes, it is called the heat sink.
At max level, it gives your SMG a 45% chance to not use ammo when it fires.
That plus the thermal clip (or whatever) that adds 80% ammo per clip, means you're getting an average clip size of about 261 on the geth SMG, over 2 1/2 times its default.
Like Pony said, it works really well with the Geth SMG, since it gives you a lot more time at the higher fire rate.

I have it maxed out in my game, after a chat with a friend I realised it was a coloquial term people were using that confused me.

Like Orca said, any Class that can stun lock an opponent for a few seconds.
I'd recommend it for a class with a lot of offensive powers as well, since it's got such a low ammo clip.
Once you get used to the fact that the projectiles don't hit their targets right away, it's pretty great.
use the submission net to lock 'em, then shoot 'em
and batarians get the ammo clip bonus

Points for style
not much substance
It goes well with the Batarian's best ability: punching. Seriously this is a great combo
Also I tried the Scorpion on my Batarian Sentinel.... eh... I wasn't too impressed...
Try it out yourself though see what you think.

I like them but I feel like I'm gonna need to get a couple more levels in each before their true potential is realized
Playing through singleplayer today, I noticed this:
Damn straight.
really solid all-around pistol
it's the best at breaking my spirit
Today I ran into a genius that was a level 20 human engineer, rocking both a Claymore I and a Falcon III.
I noticed the loadout and left that group before the game even started.
Geth, human, salarian, and my quarian
You basically couldn't see any of the team the whole round
Wait, is it actually called that? Because people have referred to it but it's called a heat sink in my game.
woooo!
that must have been real frustrating for the enemies
just TARGET LOST
over and over
I unlocked kroguard
pretty rad
I like using barrier to lift up unshielded phantoms
right into the sights of my waiting claymore
When I explode it in pub matches people are like "THE FUCK WAS THAT"
Geth SMG and Striker and Medigel Capacity, not a single class
Sadness
Someday, kroguard will be mine

I specced my turret for healing, maxed out everything except for the special Fitness tree, slapped a Geth SMG on him and went to town.
Also I named him Enzo.
Will probably name my Geth Infiltrator (if I ever get him) Bob.
paint the infiltrator red, name it Dino
Okay, yeah, that's an even better idea.
this was not a problem until 15 minutes ago because he just then decided to be a dick

Way to go, guys.

Just bad guys randomly falling over dead. And the sound of gun shots from every direction but you can't tell where
it was... rough going

If you max out carnage you should forgo charge and not barrier. Carnage's long ass recharge time doesn't mix with charge well.
I am dying over here
