Thank you in advance. Also, I will probably thank you afterwards.

Playing Galaxy Truckers nto sure what to think yet
Have you played the board game?
Nope
Having only played the board game, I'm not sure how I feel about a vertical version. Fumbling with cardboard tokens and yelling at/with other players seems like such an integral part of the experience.

Haven't done multiplayer yet but they have both a turn based and real time version of the building stage
the encounter stage seems like it doesn't have much variety that's my main complaint so far

Considering this is the iOS gaming thread I can safely assume that most of you have Apple products. Does anybody know of any good and reliable waterproof cases/sleeves/etc for an iPod Touch that I can use for swimming? I have a 4th gen iPod Touch and pretty much every case I looked at on Amazon had at least a few reviews saying that it leaked and ruined their device. I tried looking at the various sites that sold expensive ones and all of them pretty much say that their warranty covers dick if their device leaks and destroys your property. I'm just looking for either or at this point, and when it comes to a 400 dollar piece of electronics I don't want to trust its safety blindly on something that costs between 20 and 60 bucks without near universal praise.
Edit: A thought also occurred to me while writing this post. Maybe a set of wireless waterproof Bluetooth earbuds would be a good idea, while I just stick my iPod in a ziplock by the pool? Since I just thought about it, I haven't had a chance to research anything yet, but if anybody has any insight it would be appreciated. The only limitation I can think of off the top of my head would be range, because it would need to be far enough for me to be able to do laps in a pool.

Well looks like I'm back to square one on the Bluetooth front. Apparently BT just does not work underwater further than a few inches max.

I can't really work out how earbuds could let sound out without letting water in? Sounds like a big risk, especially with water + electronics jammed in your ears!

The concept is basically having sealed drivers and internals. Imagine taking a Bluetooth speaker and sticking it inside a sealed ziplock bag. Sound quality will usually suffer slightly, but it gets the job done. There are a handful of specifically waterproof swimming-marketed MP3 player/headphone combo things out there. I can't speak to their quality, but it is a thing that some companies make.
Ah, it stinks, it sucks, it's anthropologically unjust
Ug, I bought the Laser in Walking War Robots for 750 gold not realizing how it worked... it sucks ass with my robot's setup... so I'm not even using it...

Well if I can't trust waterproof cases and Bluetooth is not an option, should I just bite the bullet and buy a cheap small waterproof MP3 player just for my swims? I can deal with it if I have to, I just have a thousand electronicals that can do MP3 already and it's slightly annoying to buy another one just for a single function.
How's this one look? Decently cheap, and mostly high reviews on Amazon. Only real downsides for me are space and no shuffle function. Though that shouldn't matter much because I'll be using it mostly for listening to podcasts while I swim. If it had more space on it and a shuffle feature I'd listen to some music here and there, but it would still be primarily a podcast machine for me. Before anyone suggests getting one of the just plain shuffle only waterproof MP3 players, I need the screen that this one provides. That is because if I'm going to be listening to podcasts on it, I need to be able to see time stamps when I finish, so that I can properly sync my regular iPod to where I am in the podcast afterwards.

Angry Birds Transformers is out. "Birds disguised as Robots in Disguise"
Instead of a sling shot, you control either an Autobird or Deceptihog as they auto run from left to right, blasting structures in the background and going for coins/cyberpigs. The music is very reminiscent of the 80s cartoon and the whole thing is pretty silly/fun.
I found a screen in an area that lets me watch some cartoons as well. AB shorts, ads for other AB games, but there's also full episodes of G1 Transformers and Pound Puppies (new version) and a few other original animations.
Overall it isn't bad and can be surprisingly hectic at times (you have to occasionally transform in order to boost past falling obstacles, but while as a vehicle you can't shoot).
Speaking of Rovio, did Retry hit the US app store yet, or is it still canada(-and-probably-some-other-places) only?
(edit: http://www.retry-game.com/ thinks it hasn't, I guess)
Latest levels of PVZ2 are out. Beach levels with the lilypad, which was my most hated feature from PvZ1.
The mechanics are more interesting this time, the tide goes in and out, meaning you're allowed to plant in danger zones without lilypads, but those plants will be lost when the tide crashes through (vice versa for water plants in low tide water zones). Also, they released the first "pay plant" that you can buy with in-game resources. Hopefully they continue doing this since those gems aren't being used for anything else.
Joining Hands and Joining Hands 2 are wickedly clever puzzle games and are both free right now, which is an extreme rarity for those two titles. Get both, because there are unique mechanics exclusive to each game. Absolutely worth snagging if you like puzzle games. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Apparently their F2P model is going to be quite a grind? This was the first review staring me in the face on iTunes (completely unverified):
UPDATED- after doing the math I found it would cost 206,000 credits just to unlock 2 decks and level your 5 squaddies, and 3 hero skill trees. That's just ridiculous. Even if you got 103k from bonus objectives (doubt there are that many) you woul need to do 1030 battle that can take 1+ hours depending on how bad the connection issues are during your play time.
The game is F2P and after the first couple missions you'll start to feel the burden of the premium currency and other little things that scream F2P. If pay for a doubler before I purchase coin packs. This just is a niche game so it seems better suited as a premium with premium IAP.
I wish I could give 1/2 stars cause it's more of a 2.5 star game now with too many disconnect issues. Could be 3.5 stars without those issues. Or better yet make it a offline game.
But then, it's Warhammer content, so I will blindly devour it regardless.

Reminds me of Mech Assault. OK, admittedly not as cool as Mech Assault, but still fun to play online.

That looks really cool, how are there like no reviews out for it after being out for over 6 months?

I think it JUST came out worldwide this week. I think it was soft launched for a while in other territories...
I got that from other friends I showed it to as well. But the online is actually pretty fun.

It is. Was released today, in fact.
Also, The Longest Journey soft launched in Australia and New Zealand. So that should be hitting the rest of the English-speaking world soon.

It's called Space Wolf, look it up in the app store.
