Given you spend the entire game drugged out of your mind killing foreigners to the Island for a foreigner to the Island who's a rapist, I'm not sure how much more obvious they could make it.
People toss out the white savior tropes a lot, but you really don't change much in Far Cry 3. The best thing you can do is leqve
It looks like no dinosaurs but Megafauna anyway. Which is probably not going to be scientifically accurate anyway, so they might as well have just gone with dinosaurs.

Is there a time frame on when the announcement will happen?
I am going to guess. It is a far cry game from Ubisoft, it is going to be a game where you are either out for revenge/protecting your tribe. You will kill animals and people with stone age weapons. It is a video game. Things you can for sure not expect: realistic depictions of ancient culture and whatnot.
It is also an Ubisoft game, so you can expect it to be at least as buggy as a roach motel and to have a pretty suboptimal AI.
To be fair, the Far Cry team has had a better track record about this stuff than basically the entire rest of Ubisoft. Remember that they're not all one studio.

even more I love the idea that somebody had this shit open on like their second screen or something for 8 hours waiting for something to actually happen
How open world are the Farcry games? Are they like Prototype where you can turn your hand into a chainfist and use a corpse as a surfboard to slide down the Empire State Building? Can you open your own jelqing studio? Can you hybridize an ocelot and a revolver?
Endless forests without cities or towns or even buildings... seems like a tough sell for an open world game? Just a bunch of nomads wandering through nature and getting attacked by beasts. Maybe it jumps ahead and visits some early agricultural societies?
I am not currently interested in this game but I will not complain about a studio choosing to dramatically mix up a setting and lose some of the most iconic aspects of their game franchise as a result.

The bow was the best weapon anyway
Its not so much the lack of guns as the lack of options now that worries me.
The Shangri La missions we boring because there were only three ways to approach combat, as opposed to the dozens of ways in the normal story.
But we'll see I guess.
