my boss is running a focus group next week. it is clear to me from the way he talks about it that he has a vague idea of how they work, but will be a terrible moderator.

It's really not a matter of how smart you are. I really think it's more how stubborn you are... the more you insist on looking at the problem mathematically, the harder it's going to be. I'd bet people with more artistic tendencies get it faster than people with more mathematical (possibly academic) tendencies.

I'm so pleased, because I'm totally going to have time to finish my two final papers due friday (10-15 and 15-17 pages, respectively).
Also, I am previewing my disturbing new sig. I like it though: I think it shows how fucked up selfishness really is, which is a vice people are surprisingly non-embarrassed about indulging in. Screw that greed is good bullshit.
