How do you guys not get this? It's clearly an Alien reference, and the donuts are because they're pigs (cops). The third panel isn't disjointed at all. Gabe was worried if things would pop out of him like in that "documentary" they saw, referring to Alien.

I'll admit, I'm not sure on that part. It could just be because they're hungry, but the pig/cop connection is hardly a stretch.

A BUCKET of DOUGHNUTS. For ten dollars. Enough doughnuts to kill me, probably (not because of fat or calories, because of gluten).

Pretty much. I haven't seen Alien in well over a decade so it was a joke lost on me.

The strip over all was nice though.

Hahaha thumbs up Jon. Again, awesome comic, I don't understand how people missed the reference.
P.S. Was I right about the doughnut thing? Is it a reference to the cop/pig slang, or do you just think that pigs would like doughnuts because they're delicious?

Epic bonus for actually having a medical droid up in that mix.

There is this restaurant in LA near wilshire and normandie that has doughknots. They coat them in olive oil and roll them around in Garlic. My baby brother had like 20 of them on our 3rd day. Its a miracle he isn't pissing his way into making our bathroom smell like a pizzaria!

It's made out of dough, and was originally tied (or knotted) together.
