I just got a revolver that has a scope and can cause explosions

Edit: Ghost, as had been answered many times, you can respec your talent tree. Usually seems to cost me about 10% of my money, though I dont know if its based on level or my money.
Well, I've been waffling between sniper spec and gunslinger spec for the hunter.
Sniper tends to survive, and can go out (even in a 4 player co-op) and clear half a dungeon solo while the group lags behind or got confused. Its also very amusing to blow up heads.
On the other hand, gunslinger is death incarnate. With a good (read: amazing) repeater or revolver, you can carve a trail of slaughter and blood where ever you go. The only real problem is that you spend a fair bit of time on the ground, since you have to get up so close.
I recently got some good weapons for both spec's and am going to try each extensively. Trespass is AMAZING though, and might just sway the vote.

Trespass isn't weapon specific though, is it? At one point I had a notion to make a gunslinger spec that actually dipped that far into the Sniper tree. That tree has like, three or four pretty good general purpose skills, so...
i started playing this at about 11 tonight saying to myself "ok i'll just do the tutorial/intro missions to see what its all about" and now here it is 3am and im tired as shit and this game is awesome.
So, what's the story with SDU's? Are they use-it-or-lose-it or something? Watching the live stream, and he said "Don't forget to use the SDU in your inventory."
No, but sometimes people leave it sitting in their inventory, so not only are they not gaining the benefit of the extra space but they are using space having it in their inventory.
I happened to have one in my inventory when I was vendoring some junk, and I noticed it had a value of 80-something. I wonder if they can actually be vendored.
So, after clearing a second playthrough, it's very apparent little testing went into the game after beating the game once.
Weapon drops are very weak, and rarely did I come across any epic/legendary items from 36 and on. I was using a level 31 legendary SMG with x4 fire stat (which I got in my first playthrough) for most of the 2nd playthrough, never finding anything to replace it. Even the last boss dropped stuff I just vendored right away. Definitely not like Diablo, where bosses would drop sweet stuff all the time.
Also, the 'challenges' are completely out of whack. Basically any of the kill 2500 whatever, or get 2500 weapon kills, I wasn't even close to halfway on. What's the point of offering XP for these challenges, if you'll hit 50 WAY before you complete them. Nevermind that, but who's going to get 2500 melee kills anyhow?!
i dunno if i suck, or i just need to grind some more or what but the guy you have to kill to activate the first vehicle place is kicking my ass repeatedly
Hmm, I read that the Australian release would be completely uncensored
Edit: I've been shooting heads and limbs off all willy-nilly, exploding skags and seeing their bits splatter blood all over, so maybe it IS uncensored.

under the steamapps main directory. Can someone with the US version please check to see if they also have the borderlands_low_violence.ncf file?
US version does have this. It is probably just an option for overprotective parents. I mean if you're letting your kid play a game in which one of the first bad guys is a 9-toed 3-balled wonder who wants to murder you, and his buddies earlier told you that they wanted to do horrible things to you from behind, probably already past time for the "parental controls" to come in to play.
I'm intrigued by the stories and the concept but the graphics totally turn me off. I don't know what's wrong with me but I liked the old boring wannabe-realistic look better. The game just looks so... messy. It's full of thick black lines and tries to be edgy and original as fuck.
Is there going to be a demo of some kind for the pc so I can try if it out? I'm usually not the one to judge based on graphics so maybe I'll get over this if I get to try it myself.
I sold my 360 a few weeks ago because I hadn't used it since January. Oh well, one of my friends is bound to buy it sooner or later so I can just test theirs.

people playing Brick might.

Sotar22 is my Xbox360 account name by the way.
Not a chance.
Even with using SMG 99% of the game, I didn't even get over 1300 kills through both run throughs of the game.
People who play the game for like 99 hours might, but that's just silly.
edit; Also, 2500 guardian kills? I got 50 through both runs -_-
We're all level 19 now and about to leave the first area soon

Next Friday.
For the foreigners.
It's kind of weird how gamestop and amazon have that as the date, isn't it? On the other hand, places like bestbuy say the 26th, like steam.
Played for a few hours up to level 10 with a Sniper/Pistol Mordecai (Who I have renamed "Morty") and I'm having a great time!

Elos; no demo. If you have a PS3 or 360, rent it?
