I do not have the motion sensor. I don't think? I dunno.

I do use the tag gun from time to time. Does it help RPGs like in BC1 or just tanks and choppers?

Also, when you guys say 4 story buildings, are you referring to the ones that are usually heavily populated with snipers?

Just C4 the support beams brings it down?

I think the motion sensor is a normal load out like the Medics Health Pack. The tag gun is used in conjunction with RPG's and that other zook. Yes, the four story building in the first part overlooking B, No I don't believe it can be taken down.

I just tried it out in the PC version, C4'd the whole thing twice, nothing happens.

I was just about to go test that out. That is...unfortunate, but nothing new for Frostbite. All three Frostbite-powered games have had indestructible buildings / structures. I suppose it prevents people from destroying the stairs and just camping on the higher floors untouched.

I can't tag apaches to save my life. How do you guys ever connect with them? I must be just flat out shitty at predicting movement and gauging distances.

So yeah the Apache really fucking rules after I realized the default flight controls were uninverted and I switched them. I got at least 10 kills with the hellfires, and my gunner partner got around 40

If you're piloting the chopper alone the only weapon you get is the hellfire, right?

But that would be balanced by compromising the building's stability, and then you could just goin there and take it all down!

yes, you can only use the missiles while flying

if you can get someone in your squad to gun for you too. Some random on my team managed to hop in before someone competant did, and halfway through flight he just stopped shooting anything

    Bwahahahahah...hahahaha.....whahahaha....

Got in the apache, gunner seat, ripped up the road and took out a tank. The aa gun clipped us real bad, took the chopper down to about 8% health. I bailed. Did a massive H.A.L.O drop into their spawn area, opened the parachuted at the last possible second. Proceeded to knife the UAV controller. Shotgunned a few people. Hid in bushes. Knifed someone else. Hid in rubble, jumped out and knifed someone in the face. Ran at someone full pelt with the 1911, knifed them in the face. Ran out of people to stab at the base, so I went down onto the road leading up to the harbour. Three people hiding behind the rocks. Knife, knife, knife. Guy who shot me down still in the AA gun. Jumped on the tank and knifed him too.

That's what I'm saying. I don't think I've ever got an RPG to track, I didn't think we could do that in the 360 demo
It tracks in the PC version, but I'm not sure I've ever actually gotten a rocket to hit when it's tracking. I know it's working because I've gotten the distance reading, then shot the rocket up so I could fire from behind cover, and the rocket almost did a right angle. It never hits its target though.

Also, holy shit the shotgun magazine upgrade is ridiculous. You can fire for days with the Saiga.

I haven't frapsed anything for a while, it kills my fps and I like my shineh graphics. But what the hell, let's get some cranium stabbing up in this bitch. Also, my fraps folder is close to 50gb. Gonna fill my hdd up real fast if I keep this up.

Also guys, what music should I use in the all-round montage? I want some kind of rock.

I'm on 360 and unlocked just about every upgrade/weapon available in demo.

I find the lock on with the RPG to be extremely efficient; I shot down two apaches in single shots today with an RPG having previously "tracer darted" them myself. Indeed, one missle took a complete "U-Turn" as apache flew over my head.

Even works on people too if u can tracer dart them- I found this quite amusing :3

Seems to work well on tanks too but fails against Quad Bikes :3

Anyone know how to work the alt-weapon on the apache whilst flying? I'm pretty insane with the standard rockets but just can't work this thing?

Luck, mainly, those fuckers are hard to hit. You'll have a better chance if you wait till it's much closer to the ground and moving straight at you, if they're turning or lifting up they're much harder to shoot. Once you tag it though scream that shit out to your squadmates, or pull out your own RPG if you're an engy and take that motherfucker down! Remember to aim and hold your cursor over the tagged vehicle until it locks on or whatever then you can fire.

I'd complain more about the failings of Rush mode, but once I can play Conquest, this beta and its mode will be but a memory.

Also, it is going to be impossible to repair tanks and stuff once team damage is on. Eeek.

Click on those little names in the lower left side of the screen. When you click on them you get to see what they're doing. After that just click Join battle or whatever it is. Alternatively, you can click on whatever is above your squad in that little menu to just spawn randomly somewhere in your spawn area.

Can't make those toggles yet, but apparently in the final game crouch can be made a toggle.

I'm up for it. Will get on vent now. Don't have BC2 in steam, I'll have to manually find the server. :[

EDIT: Pretty sure there's a BC2 room in the PA vent.

EDIT EDIT: Apparently not. I'm new to Vent, can just anyone make a channel or is there an ops system?

I hope we get to drive around battleboats and carriers like in 1942. It was funny watching people try to take off from the runway while the carrier was in motion. You could even capsize the other team's entire fleet if you rammed the carrier just right.

Odd when I go to the unlocks section it shows the tracer gun as requiring rank 12, but isn't the beta limited to 11?

Also this ammo upgrade is it the "magazine specialization"?

There is some weird stuff I don't get. I've seen people with the third engineer AT unlock but that requires an ungodly number of points. So unless they've been poop-socking, something is amiss.

Also, I can't remember the exact name of the upgrade. It's just the one with the shotgun and a + icon.

I have a few times, but it's been rare. The frame rate is really bringing my accuracy down; doesn't matter if I have it on high or low graphically, I just seem to hover around 30, then dip below when things get rough. I HOPE the final product is bit more optimized.

Is anyone here on PA going to host a server?

Hosting is only through trusted hosting partners, so no home-run community servers. We could always all pitch in for a 16 or 32 player server (at probably $5-8 per slot), but that'd be our only real option.

As long as I can play with a group of people working together, I'm fine. I got my first small taste of working as a team on an Atlanta server today, and thought to myself that playing with people here would probably be even better.

BUT, I don't have a headset, so maybe I should get one of those.
