Nerd, I've been wondering, when did you read me and Gim's victorian letter nonsense? I mean, obviously you were around back then, but I don't remember you [chat]ting a lot. Is my [chat] memory just failing me?

I think I saw it in Awesome Posts some years ago? I'm not sure when I first saw it.

    Cool! Just curious. Good times...

[chat], I'm thinking about spending a little time in G&T and doing a "Let's Play" for Freelancer. What are your thoughts?

I'm open to suggestions of different games, though the games will have to be fairly old/graphically basic, due to my 3 year old laptop.

To those that have played Bioshock:

This game is lasting longer than I thought it would based on where I'm at. So maybe you guys could tell me how much more I have. I would love to finish it tonight. Spoilered for those that still haven't played it.
Ok, so I killed Ryan and found out that Atlas is really Fontaine. Interesting twist, but the whole time I'm playing I was thinking Atlas was not who he said he was. I was thinking he was Ryan, though, ala MGS plot twist. Glad he wasn't, though, cause that would've been dumb.

Well in any case, I thought the game was going to end shortly after that... Well no. It doesn't. It still goes. I love the game, but I hate how I feel like it's just dragging along. It's like a movie that's 3 hours long that should really be 2 1/2 at the most.

So basically I just got the second part of the "antidote" so that Fontaine can no longer control my mind and the second part gave me full use of my plasmids. How much longer do I have? Should I be able to finish it tonight without pulling an all nighter? I was close to doing it last night thinking I had to be close, but I didn't want to stay up later than I already was cause I was getting tired and now I'm kind of regretting it at work.

I usually avoid G&T at all costs. I mean, some guys in there are pretty cool, but usually they argue about stupid shit. Much more stupid than shit we argue about in D&D. But I guess it's all relative, cause I'm sure someone in G&T is thinking the exact opposite of me.

But I definitely love to watch a Let's Play of Freelancer. I've never played it and thought it looked interesting.

I was thinking of framing it with a number of different options. I'd be playing the single-player campaign, giving people the option of determining my path through it. For example, in the opening chapter in Liberty, I like to slaughter ludicrous numbers of Bounty Hunters so that I get in good with the pirate factions without losing my rep with civilization in general. That gives me the chance to get sweet pirate weaps and the Dagger, one of my favorite light fighters on looks alone. I'd leave the decision to do that or play more...legally up to those following the thread. Assuming there are people following the thread.

And I think that, if I do it, I'll end up doing a lot of it "in character" as Edison Trent, with explanations of my strategy as spoilered asides.

If I do this, part of me hopes that there's demand for illegality. Traveling the Trade routes can be boring at times, but there's something inherently fun about smuggling Cardamine.

I have not. I've read some really good ones (the Let's Play Archive has eaten hours of my life).

Originally I thought of doing it with just screenshots and text, but do you guys think I should maybe do some of it on video? I probably wouldn't want to do all of it that way, because if I'm say, smuggling Cardamine, that can be long, useless minutes of back and forth, back and forth.

Maybe most of it screenshots/text, and story missions on video with semi-snarky voiceover from yours truly?
