The one where you could have a secret hide out and plant berries everywhere.
I think you could do that in both games, couldn't you?
You definitely could in Ruby/Sapphire, and those were older.
I started playing around 2003 when I bought my GBA. I think it was either Leaf, or Fire, or Ruby. Something like that. I think I have a Pokemon something for my DS too, but I'm not going to go look 'cause then I'll play it again and the world will end.
Ruby/Sapphire came out in 2003, Leaf Green/Fire Red in 2004.
I know the actor who plays the doctor in this from somewhere! Does anyone know who he is?
He's the patriarch of the Cullen family in the actual Twilight movies. He's also on Nurse Jackie, was on Six Feet Under, and was Jennifer Love Hewitt's douchey ex-boyfriend who broke up with her at graduation in the movie Can't Hardly Wait.
The first booster pack (or whatever they called them) I bought of the original Pokemon TCG contained a 1st Edition Charizard.
So awesome.
Goddamn. I would have pissed myself back in the day.

Once a year I pull out my old Game Boy Color Pokemon Card Game cartridge and delete my old save and start from scratch. I always build the same deck: Blastoise combo. Being an avid Magic player, the mechanics of the early editions of the pokemon card game are ridiculous. Between Computer Search, Bill, and Professor Oak, you can see a truly ludicrous number of cards in the first few turns of the game.
I always end up getting 4-5 pokes early and having them all the same level so the games take me a long time to finish but my team is pretty well rounded throughout.

I really can't remember anymore, might've been both Ruby and Leaf.
I've got Diamond for DS, though. That much I remember.
If you ever want to battle on your DS we can do that :P
I've only ever traded pokemon using the GBA, never fought with anyone.
The DS will use wireless internet to connect to Nintendo's whole thing. If you have another person's ID number you can trade or battle with them. But only with the DS Pokemon games.

Yah, I know about the wireless connecting. I've done that with Animal Crossing. Just never fought anyone with a DS before.
Mostly I just like catching pokemon to complete my collection and growing berries.

Well if you need anything through trades that is cool too.

That thread makes me grateful for the awesome people in my building. They might not be the friendliest or most talkative bunch, but they don't try to break into my apartment, they're quiet, and whoever happens to be around will always sign for anyone's packages and bring them into the secure entryway.

But then I pulled out.
Because I had used the MissingNo glitch to get infinite rare candies, and that's how I levelled my guys up.
My brother convinced me they'd be able to work out I had done it this way, and I'd be disqualified.
I still don't know if that's the case.
Dr. Spaceman had the best lines tonight. Sucks the New England Journal of Medicine wouldn't accept his erotic cartoons.
Like..I know if I bothered to actually play one, I could probably get into it. But somehow it just never grabbed my interest enough to actually do it.

Ahaha. Oh man. Your avatar/title/location. Oh man.
Yes it is. Everyone must have at least owned a Pidgeotto of level 20 or higher. It's like the law.
So. Good.

Probably not, but even so, rare candies were a poor substitute for actual training. The stats capped much lower than they would have normally.

It was designed for 7-8 people because there are 8 members of my family.
